 League News
Results Brazil and Champions 2004!

Finally, we made it to the webs again!
And so did you, reading this ;)

First the official results of our last race of this Regular Season 2004.

The winners per class this time are both Mexicans!
I bet since they heard their country was hosting a race next season they freaked out and had a go for a win themselves! CONGRATS guys!

EXP:

  1. JoR-Ge
  2. ClausJ
  3. [GTNDC]TheGrind

AMA:

  1. A_Moreno
  2. WillTrash
  3. KrX

And now the Overall 2004 Champions!!!

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. Elmar
  3. Barnes

AMA:

  1. Sander_n
  2. A_Moreno
  3. Rinker

I bet Claus has by now created a seperate extra shelf at home to put all his F1RST-2 Trophees on... I hope he returns to defend one of his titles here again next Season! I noticed he WILL get competition for sure...

Sander_n even has a double party at home; his dad Rinker finished 3rd!

Now the most fought Championship. The battle ran until our final race! All 'tricks' were used to clinch the title, fights on the track and even off the track. Some even with myself (ehhh, off track that is; I'm too slow, in case you didn't notice :P).
Actually that is all part of the game and it just shows how fanatic all were until the final race to win this competitive Championship! I know all settled down and was solved in a great, sportive way! THAT is the way to do it guys!
Now who came out on top?

Yes, the new Champions in our Team Championship 2004 is VdrSain's Team: GTN Drivers Club!

A well deserved win! Applaud you guys! Your Team just was the fastest this Season!

I wish to thank all F1RST-2 guys that worked with me on this exciting Season!
My Marshals, fellow Admins and DEV-Team! I Especially wish to thank my mate Ivor 'Rocky' Stone, who did a great job all season!

Not last, but also not least, ALL guys competing in this fast class! I had great fun with all of you!

Now this sounds like a goodbye, farewell, but nothing is less true...
The last one I like to thank is Ralph (Hummerich) and his Team!
They made it possible to run RH2003 in the first place!

Which brings me to the final words...
... don't take a break! Get ready for our Winter League RH2004, which will start here SOON!
Keep an eye on the F1 League, as within a few days I will announce the start of the Winter League and put up the schedule.

Have fun and I hope to see you all back soon!

 CasH  2004-10-30

Result Qualify Brazil

And I thought after the Champions are known for our 2004-League we would have less contesters for the final race.

Nothing is less true! 64 drivers! Great!

But, I guess I know why... ;)

Took a look at the Teamstandings?
No? Do that now ...

However first the results for the individual drivers:

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. JBTheGreat
  3. LG

AMA:

  1. Martinwcox
  2. A_Moreno
  3. Willtrash

Teams are now trying all to clinch the desired Team Championship Title for 2004.
Closest are GTN Drivers Club and DSB F1 Racing. All 'tricks' are being done to get the most out of last race of this exciting season! Guys running in AMA suddenly, old, fast drivers make their return. I must say congrats to JBTheGreat for his great re-appearance in second place in EXP! Proves he still is a guy to reckon with!

Also two 'AMA Teams' are still batteling; F1 Power Racing and Team Downforce. I realise I sometimes don't mention them, but it is quite an effort to be in 4th and 5th position while only running in our AMA League. Great stuff guys!

Well, I will not put any of my money on either Team, however... I do predict that 'my' Lowland Racing Team will finish 3rd. Yes, that is a shame, as we used to be in second place. But he, we just can't keep up with the big Teams.
However, rumours are that we contracted some fast guys... rewarding them (bribing them?) with huge amounts of.... you know ;).

Now, on to the final race in Brazil! I truely hope all you guys, and especially the guys involved in Teamfights, have a clean and fair race! GL all and what always is MOST important: have fun and respect!

 CasH  2004-10-19

Results Japan and ... guess... reading

Switching the initial planned wet Japan to dry, made me feel silly after the weather predictions for the race.

However the weather adjusted itself right in time for the race :)

Bet most in here were happy with the switch...

The results...

EXP:

  1. LG
  2. ClausJ
  3. Barnes

AMA:

  1. A_Moreno
  2. Solimans
  3. Dverha

Congrats all! LG finally beats Claus... but my guess now Claus is Champ already, he is just teasing... :P

Anybody said the League was decided?
Have a look at the Team standings! I bet both GTN Drivers Club as well as DSB F1 Racing will mobilise their fastest guys or even raise their salary to get back and get points in Brazil!
Only 1 point separates them!
I will not take part in the betting... WOW guys!

This brings me to reminding you guys that you can still ask for a private Team Forum (see previous news).
Also be in time to get the members you want in your Team, before the Winterleague starts!

Now some sad and some great stuff:
We had our first ban in our history (that is the sad part).

I don't want to go too deep into the subject, nor mention who it is. There is enough discussed about it in the Forums.
I only bring this up to remind all that we are here to have a great time. As you see, we slowly adjust things to YOUR likings as much as possible. But all have to understand (and yes, bet almost all do!) that F1RST-2 costs lots of time from all involved and we are limited in what can be changed fast.

However as you can notice logging in today, some additions have been done again (getting to the good part).
Last time we updated and finetuned the RULES. This time among other great stuff like the V8-mod (should I advertise that here? :P), RH2004 is updated to the 1.03 Physics, which we will most likely run our Winterleague with.
BTW: all of you voted already HERE? In two weeks the poll closes!

Off to... yes... DRY Brazil now! The FINAL race of this great season here at F1RST-2!

 CasH  2004-10-12

Result Qualify Japan and READING...

EDITED! GRIDS CHANGED... HEAT ORG OPEN NOW!

Well, yet another Qualify over.

The true diehards still in competition and exciting as ever!

First the results as usual, but read on plz!

The Top-3 for both classes:

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. Gnarus
  3. LG

AMA:

  1. Matrinwcox
  2. A-Moreno
  3. Solimans

Do I need to say that Claus is our 2004 Champion already in EXP? Bet no one doubted that would happen ;). CONGRATS already Claus!!!

Now to the reading stuff ...

  • The results were not final, as we had our server down one day. The extra 24 hours gave TZA the opportunaty to still send in their laps, so I could put them in by hand.
  • As you might have seen, we started discussing the Winterleague that will follow this one. I would like ALL participating in it, to speak out and vote HERE! No vote, is no complaints afterwards! ;)
  • We now offer Teams the opportunaty to have a Private Forum of their own! If you are interested, just mail either ME HERE, or RC HERE. Mention your Teamname, TeamCaptain and Moderator and don't forget to mail your desired password for it! Have fun there in sharing your race reports and setups, or just talk about women, like we do :P
  • Speaking of Teams... if you want do remove/add members or even start a new Team, make sure you do that BEFORE the League starts! The points for Teams will start counting again from the start of the Winterleague, so make sure all is ready for your Team by then!

Enough again... off to dry Japan.

 CasH  2004-10-05

Result Laguna Seca

As you guys know we couldn't run China yet (But read our Track Forum; a Beta-version is there already!), so we had our League Race at Laguna Seca.

I'm happy to see that most survived it, as to me it was a pretty tough one, doing 75 laps between the walls and dust. But then again, for me all tracks are tough :P

Now to the part this League is all about; the winners of their classes...

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. Barnes
  3. Krueger

AMA:

  1. Martinwcox
  2. WillTrash
  3. A_Moreno

Congrats to all! The most surprising to me is the fact that Sander didn't win AMA this time... bet he's getting scared after last post, or just impersonating Schumi... :P

Well, no real news this time, so straight to Suzuka for some laps... I can now say I initially made the track wet, but I noticed lots of you were unhappy already after Spa, so I decided to change it to dry. You cowards... :P

Have a great Qualify all!

 CasH  2004-09-28

Results Qualify Laguna and NEW RULES!!!

This time, forced by the lack of the China track for F1C, we voted for Laguna Seca instead.

I must say you guys did a great choice! I always liked the track myself for CART, and it proves to be just as great for F1C!

Must be a stunning feeling in real life to take the Corkscrew!

I hope you guys are going to pick equal great tracks for our upcoming Winterleague...
Keep and eye on our Forums, as I'll be putting up a poll soon which tracks you guys want.

Now first the results of Qualifying, and then below.... NEW RULES! So please read carefully!!!

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. Yrtemmys
  3. Elmar

AMA:

  1. Sander_n
  2. Ripperton
  3. Solimans

Do I need to say great job guys? ;)

Now the new rules, and again, READ CAREFULLY PLEASE!!!
The sections changed are 5.2 and 5.7
You can find the new rules HERE. Please act accordingly!

I like to thank all participating in discussing them and bringing up change requests.
We know we can't please ALL, but I guess we came close.

Also I put some Screenshots in our Forum HERE, to point out some specific issues for Laguna.

Now after reading and remembering them: have a great race at Laguna Seca!

 CasH  2004-09-21

Result Monza and ... guess... reading!!!

Well, lots of stuff this time, so please take your time to read.

However naturally first the results of our Monza race.

Seemed to be popular, as even if the amount of contesters has dropped since RH2004 was released, we only had 1 DNS per class!

Congrats for that guys!

The Top 3:

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. Elmar
  3. LG

AMA:

  1. Sander_n
  2. Rinker
  3. Digger_38

We have a 'kind' of Schumacher here, as Sander already got his well deserved Title! Congrats Champion! I heard he will however still compete, so guys, just frighten him for our upcoming Winterleague and show he can be beaten!

Now on to the reading:

  • I put in our Heatforum a post with an updated AIW-file for Laguna. Get it HERE and read what it does and how to use it. Thanks Cartandretti for providing it!
  • We had some disputes and 'punishments' again this race. The outcomes can be found HERE.
  • As you might have read in our Forums, we are now discussing some rule changes. From here I already want to thank all participating in it. We try to hear you guys as much as we can. If you have some suggestions, or constructive critic notes, feel free to post them HERE. Please stick strictly to the topic! I will inform you guys what we decided and when the adjusted rules will be implemented by posting here, so keep an eye on this news!

Now quickly to Laguna Seca! A great track with a famous corner called the corkscrew. I wonder why I like that name :).

 CasH  2004-09-14

Result Qualify Monza and reading

Another Qualify over.
And a close one again this time.
Both in EXP as in AMA, where the difference between Sander and Martin is just 0.008 seconds! WOW guys!

First I must say I'm happy with the number of guys still running in our RH2003 Championship after the release of RH2004.
A bit more about this below.

The results:

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. LG
  3. Yrtemmys

AMA:

  1. Sander_n
  2. Martinwcox
  3. JohnSargent

Now some reading stuff:

  • A new Marshal joined us: Riaan. Welcome... and guys, feel free to bug him. He asked for it ;)
  • RH2004: I decided to finish this League with RH2003 instead of switching to RH2004. The reasons are numerous. It is not that good to switch during a season that comes to an end soon (after Monza just 3 to go). Ralph didn't do the tracks and cars for the tracks to come (obvious), so only the physics and car-models would differ...
After this League I will again put up a Winterleague. Then we start with RH2004 and some great tracks I will put up a poll about. Hope you guys understand and agree.

Closing by wishing you guys a great race at Monza!

 CasH  2004-09-07

Results Spa and reading.

Quite a race, as well as in real F1 as here!
I must say this time I feel sorry for LG. Don't do this often, but he was in my heat, leading us over 2 laps and crashed in his last lap! Sorry LG!

Now the results of the Top 3 that did make it to the finish and even fast!
NOTE: The results in AMA are not final, as some still have to do their race due to problems with their host crashing!

EXP:

  1. Elmar
  2. Krueger
  3. Barnes

AMA:

  1. WillTrash
  2. Rinker
  3. Riaan

Now to the reading stuff, pretty much this time.

  • First I'd like to thank Psykopat for taking over from me during my week absence. I had no complaints, so obviously a great job! Knew that, that's why I asked you ;) This week I am here, but still have Holiday, so it is possible my reactions to mails or posts can be little later then you guys are used to. Sorry for that!
  • Now about RH2004. Personally I dislike the idea of switching during a running season. We will see when Dude can create all stuff for a 2004-League, and PERHAPS I put up a poll about what YOU guys want. I just want to make sure all will run fine IF we make a switch. It's only 4 races to go in RH2003, so I suggest to finish this first and then put up a Winterleague starting with RH2004. I'll keep you informed about this!
  • Speaking of RH2004, Matthias mailed me not to use the link like in my previous post. So for the single soul not having the full RH2004 V1.01 THIS is the correct and only link to be used: http://www.emacf1.com/f19902/download2004.html

Now on to sunny Monza, a relief after the difficult wet Spa :)

 CasH  2004-08-31

RH2004 is.... OUT NOW!

Hi guys,

what a time for me to go on Holiday :(

RH2004 is out!
We have been testing it for some days now and all I can say is: WOOOOOOOOOW!

Just DL it and see and feel for yourself!
I won't describe here what's all been done... don't have time for that ;)

Here some links to DL:

http://www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/sportplanet/emac/0146new/2004/f19902/2004rh_4_f1c99-02_trackpack_v1.0.zip

At this moment I can't say when we'll be supporting it, but we are working on it for some time already. We have to w8 until Dude is back to finish it off :)

Enough about it. GET IT and get stunned!

Thanks to Ralph for providing us in time with all for supporting it here on F1RST-2!
A big thanks to ALL involved!

Now off you go!
Hé! Don't forget to qualify Spa in RH2003 after this great news! :)

 CasH  2004-08-20

Admin on Holiday, Spa issues

Hi all,

I'll be on a small break from Saturday 21st of August up to the 28th of August and perhaps some days afer that depending on the mood of my wife, who is the boss at my place ;)

As F1 runs Spa that week, I asked my fellow Admin Sykopat to take over duties for you guys.
So for all mails, submissions, problems, whatever (just don't ask for money :P) you should contact him HERE.

About the Schedule: I'm aware that at this moment the schedule for Spa shows 49 laps. That should be 44 ( thx Barnes ). The change will be done at the end of Qualify, as Dude has to set 'all equal' again after a schedule change and as you perhaps know Dude is out ATM.

After the serverchange the fuction 'auto downloading' for tracks is no longer supported.
We found Drago and Lazytech to put up a website where they will host all tracks F1RST-2 supports.
So in case you are looking for one, have a look HERE.
Thanks a lot guys!

GL on wet Spa! I hope to be back to race there myself as well, as it is one of the greatest, if not the greatest track in the world!
CU soon!

 CasH  2004-08-19

Results Race Hungary

If I have to be very honest, I was hoping I had to skip this track as I personally hate it. Sheer nightmare it was for me to do 77 laps in a hot attick and start the race at 00.30.
To make it worse I had to race guys like Claus, Elmar, LG and Stef.
I can tell you... I felt ... slow :P

Luckily for me and for you guys our Schedulemove worked out ok. All problems after the serverswitch were solved in time! BIG thanks to our DEV-Team to get all in order in time!

Now what we are here for: the results:

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. Elmar
  3. LG

AMA:

  1. Digger_38
  2. Solimans
  3. Willtrash

At least in AMA some refreshing 'new' names in Top3! Great! Just keep going guys!

Not much news ATM, so off you go to .... RAINY Spa! I heard complaints already... bad luck! If ONE track deserves rain it is this one! And yes, I know, as I live pretty near ;)

 CasH  2004-08-17

Results Qualify Hungary

Finally we managed to get our act together just in time! It IS a tight schedule and hereby I want to say sorry to the guys that missed the qualify this time.
Well, this shows you have to read here often, as the news was put up in time...

Slower guys like myself are happy, as finishing here will definately bring points! So make sure you stay on track ;)

The results now, as usual Top3 for both classes:

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. LG
  3. Elmar

AMA:

  1. Martinwcox
  2. Ripperton
  3. Sander_n

It SEEMS our League didn't have any real problems after our servermove, but I wasn't able to do any manual stuff yet. Just in case, after your race anything would be wrong, contact me ASAP and we'll look into it.

Now have a great race and get those points!

 CasH  2004-08-13

Changed Servertimes and deadlines!

Hi all,

as some noticed in other running Leagues, the servermove has consequences for our deadlines!
You were used to find deadlines at midnight EST, but as the server now runs from Amsterdam, the deadlines are midnight CET (CEST now)!

Remember this please from now on, so you won't be too late and miss either your Qualify or Race.

Keep a close eye on the schedules on the right of this page to see how many hours/minutes you have left.

 CasH  2004-08-10

And finally it's a GO for Hungary!

As the title says, Qualify is open for Hungary JUST in time!

We hope all is solved now. Should you have ANY problem, please let us know as soon as possible!
Use my new mailaddress .

Bet you all noticed the new Forums we are using. If not, register quickly!
You can find the new Forum HERE.

Now keep in mind that this is just one week for Qualify AND Race! Please start arranging in our new Heatorganisation forum RIGHT after closing of Qualification (see Schedule).

Off you go, and have a great race!

 CasH  2004-08-09

Qualify Hungary POSTPONED!

Hi all,

Due to submissionproblems, caused by changing servers for F1RST2, I decided to postpone Qualify for Hungary until all solved and done by our DEV-Team.

Guys that already have done their Qualify and ended up with a non-submission will have their results removed and get another chance.

Keep an eye on the schedule as it will change. At this moment I myself can't say when exactly the Qualify will open again. Just check frequently please!
I will not submit manually for guys being too late after the schedulechange!

Sorry for the inconveniance and be ready to Qualify once open, as it will be a short week again for it!!

 CasH  2004-08-03

Results Hockenheim and yes, reading again :)

I'll TRY to keep short this time.

As my reporter Dash is back from his trips around the tracks (did he actually see the tracks or just the bars and women?!), you'll have plenty of reading there :D

I have to say I'm very pleased with the ever large number of contesters here and even still popping in new guys (well, new to us here in F1-League that is).

A good example is our winner of EXP, which you can see below. WOW, congrats!! Claus beaten and not even just a bit! (sorry Claus ;) ). AMA also some diferent results. Sander once did not win ;)
The results:

EXP:

  1. LG
  2. ClausJ
  3. Barnes

AMA:

  1. A_moreno
  2. [ASH]Wizard
  3. Sander_n

The reading part:

  • I AGAIN want to urge you guys to agree VERY CLEAR in your heatforums about date/time to race. It STILL happens guys miss their race due to improper organising! Shame!
  • Rob (RC) updated his Networkguide. Specially the Routerpart that should be even more clear for 'dummies'. Read it HERE.
  • Lula made a website 'advertising' F1RST2. Great job and we can use that kind of sites :) Have a look HERE.
  • Dash (yes, the famous one!) made another Racereport, actually two! Read it HERE

Now some rest... or just more practice. Qualify Hungary opens in a week!
GL over there and be prepared...

 CasH  2004-07-27

Result Qualify Hockenheim / RULE CHANGE!

No, no, don't get scared! It's not a change in the rules according the Qualify format or whatever. They are issues discussed a lot, annoying people, so therfore we implemented some stuff in the rules that we think all will agree on. If not, bad luck, as it will stay in the rules :)

First however the Top 3 Qualifyers per class.
This time no major surprises, however I don't think many will bet their money on the outcome, as it remains very competitive in both classes.
Top 3 looks like this:

EXP:

  1. Kimi
  2. ClausJ
  3. Barnes (first Top 3! Congrats!)

AMA:

  1. Sander_n
  2. A_Moreno
  3. MrSwed (great for newcomer!)

Now the IMPORTANT READING:

  • As mentioned abve we have an addition to the rules about Heatorganisation and Testing Leaguesessions for Hosts. Read all about the addition HERE. Look for chapter 5.2 'Failed Organisation'.
  • Still many guys ask me where to get AKOVCR and AKODAT to check their own laps for validity. Get both in the Forumthread HERE (look for 9th post in middle of topic).
  • Talking about laps. Make sure when you qualify, to escape from the lap at least some 20 seconds after passing the finishline. That will prevent the lap from corrupted in view at the end.

I sent our reporter Dash Riprock yet another HUGE bag of Gummybears, hoping to get him going again after his mysterious disappearance last time.
Please guys, support him by sending your own incredible Race experiances (and some Gummybears as well) to THIS ADDRESS  and become famous yourself :P
His reports can be found in our Forums for now HERE. Worth the reading guys! Keep checking, you might be in there yourself next time.

WAY too much talk again from me, sorry. Off you go to our German friends. OK, and pitbabes :).

 CasH  2004-07-20

Results Silverstone

In here Kimi DID take the victory on Silverstone :) WHAT a race that Heat1 TZB EXP was!
If I'm right it's the closest finish I've seen so far and those guys even were in the same Heat! 0.7 seconds! Must have been very thrilling!
This yet again proves that the competition here is less predicktable and way more exciting than from our colleagues from the FIA :)

The Top-3 this time looks like this.

EXP:

  1. Kimi
  2. ClausJ
  3. Elmar

AMA:

  1. Riaan
  2. Sander_n
  3. Sabrex

GREAT first victory for Riaan! Once again another winner in this class. Keep it up guys!

And yet again, yes I know I now start boring the guys properly arranging their heats, PLEASE make sure you test BEFORE raceday! If not you DO have a chance if it doesn't work out on the last raceday you will end up with a DNS! So please prepare like it should and save us a lot of extra work and yourself a -10 for not starting.

Now off you go to Hockenheim. Have fun and be fast :)

 CasH  2004-07-13

Results Qualify GB

Just the results this time.

Most important news of this week is in previous post below.

The top 3 qualifiers in GB are:

EXP:

  1. ClausJ
  2. Elmar
  3. Aurra_Sing

AMA:

  1. Ripperton
  2. Sander_n
  3. Red-5

And guys: please check your result IMMEDIATELY after your race! If not there, contact me ASAP and send both your VCR and LOG to THIS ADDRESS.
