Introduction:
We arrive in fantasy-land on the great venue Essington. This fast track has some great fast corners and is loved by the community.

Race, Top 3 review:
Qualify, Top 3 review:
TJBolier claimed the pole with a time of 1.38.861, to be the only one to go under 1.39. locutus kept the pressure on TJBolier by claiming second, with a time of 1.39.030. MaxMotus claimed third position on the grid with a qualify time of 1.39.036, only 0.006 slower than locutus
While Edwards already clinched the drivers championship title. Second and third position are still open for TJBolier, locutus and b-izadfar! The team championship is also undecided with Lowland Racing Team and Don't Lift being very close! Let's see what happened!
With 18 drivers on the grid, the battle was on. TJBolier had a terrible start from pole and dropped down to position four. MaxMotus had a mega start and went first into corner one, followed by locutus in second, and b-izadfar in third.
Going uphill lap 1, all drivers were looking for a good drag! locutus tried to attack MaxMotus for first position, but failed, while TJBolier managed to pass b-izadfar for third.
The next few laps, the battle was on for second position. TJBolier tried to find a gap to pass locutus, but locutus was driving strong and defending well. Meanwhile b-izadfar kept putting pressure on TJBolier from behind.
Until lap 4, when in corner 3, TJBolier hit the throttle to early, and went into spin. He had to wait for the pack to pass, to safely rejoin the track in position 10. B-izadfar benefited and moved up to third position, putting pressure on locutus immediately.
MaxMotus had created a gap of 2 second meanwhile, in the lead. the next few laps, the top three went full throttle. By lap 10, locutus and b-izadfar managed to close the gap to MaxMotus and the battle was on!
Top 3 battle, half way race.
the field, lap 1, straight.
locutus was furiously putting pressure on MaxMotus, and b-izadfar did the same on locutus. Lap 12, locutus grabbed the drag of MaxMotus and side-by-side they went uphill, on the long straight. b-izadfar benefiting of the great double drag, stormed his way through on the inside, passing both, going into the lead!! They all braked hard for the next corner, and the unbelieveable happened, they went 3-wide through the downhill right hairpin. The next corner squeezed them, and they all made contact! locutus went into the lead, followed by MaxMotus in second, and b-izadfar in third, after a small grass trip, losing a few seconds on the leaders.
locutus and MaxMotus would continue to battle for the win, until the finish flag. locutus was defending well, while MaxMotus tried many things to pass him. Then, the final lap! MaxMotus caught the slipstream of locutus uphill and managed to pass him on the straight, for the lead! locutus tried to do everything, to fight back, but MaxMotus resisted the pressure, and they came almost side-by-side over finish, with a difference of 0.091 seconds! b-izadfar came home third, rounding up the podium. What an exciting race!

User Reports:
With so many action on the grid and through out the race, you can imagine it is impossible for us to give everyone the credit in the news they deserve. That's why we got user reports. Drivers can submit their own race review and we will include it in the news. For this round we start of with:
b-izadfar: "Start was great, unfortunately the grid isn't as close as previous rounds but was just enough to slither through turn1/2 and grab 3rd. I got passed later on in tight situation by Timon. The LRT guys were quite funny to watch, fighting like rivals and flashing lights lots! It was a great 4 way fight at the beginning following eachother like a train and sometimes going in two squared formation. It turned into a fierce 3 way fight when TJ spun off and again, lots of times side by side. I got a sniff of the lead for maybe 10seconds (lol) but unfortunately you can't fit 3 cars side by side in certain areas and I paid the price. For the next 10laps I tried to just stay in touch with MM and Loc ahead but it was tough as they had a similar pace + slipstream. I saw them fighting alot ahead and MM hassling, but Loc having none of it. I was very fortunate overall that MM made a great last effort pass on the final lap. Such a close and competitive final round! I'd like to thank all the competitors as well as F1RST3 Admin for such a great environment"
McMilan: "Thanks God this league is over, in every race I had a "probs", spins, sh.., etc ...Good note is that approaching the end of league I arranged a good contract with my new team and sponsors knocked my door every day :)"
Trick: "Best result for me this season. Top ten finish. It had a little battle with newtyNG5 in the opening laps. I was behind him and we switched places for a lap, when he overtook me back I couldn't keep up with his pace so I tried to focus on my own laptimes. People in front of me made mistakes so took there places and brought me the seventh place at the end. Overall this was a very nice and clean league, grats to Edwards for the championship, and to my team for the team chapionship, thank you all for the nice battles and see you all next time. "
CasH: "As usual I started at back of the grid, well only Danny behind me. The start was great, and after some spinning going on in front of me, which I all managed to avoid, I ended after first corner in 14th place (from 19). But as usual in lap 1, halfway, I wrecked my car myself yet again :(. Bent suspension and already undrivable with bent steering wheel :P. 20th now, LOL. REALLY last! However others suffered similar problems or ran just into others, so halfway I found myself in 14th again ... Then Kaillera didn't see me when I was coming on inside lapping him and he just turned in. BENG! BUT! THX mate! My suspension on other side now stuffed.... HOWEVER... it seemed the car felt better now! LOL! So continued faster (read less slow :P) than before the hit. Long story short: cruised my laps, avoiding and overtaking some that were really damaged (Timon which was faster I let pass twice, but he persisted me being in front, as he spun off every time he overtook me :P). Finishing in 10th place even! One manual submission afterwards, so 11th it is. THX to Timon and ALL involved in this SUPERFUN League! Looking forward to the next one YOU guys vote for! P.S. Iron-Gr: please vote one that you CAN beat me in? :P "
locutus: "With the weight of the world on my shoulders I flipped the key in the ignition and preyed for a good ending. Off course with spy-gate going on in LRT (and the team that we dont speak of) the tension was killing and everybody was watching his back just before the race started. Finally the lights went to green and all hell broke loose. ? Starting from P2 I had a clean run to the inside of the first corner, but thanks to Max that plan was gone in 5 secs. He got by and I was back in P2. The rest is stuff were legends are made of. Continuing battles from P1 to P4 with MM, TJ, B-I and myself, thrilling stuff. Sometimes we were 3-4 cars wide and nobody was giving away an inch, just great driving on a great challenging circuit. I guess you really have to watch the replay to catch my drift. In the end I had a great battle for P1 with Max and he finally got by me in the last lap. Bummer but hey, I still finished 2nd in the championship and that was my goal so Im okay with that. No hard feelings.. sniff. ? Wow what a race. Congratz to Max and everybody who joined this great league and had some fun. Big thanks go to the admins off course, well done, hope to join a new championship soon. "

Vallelunga - Weekend Report
Round 7
Vallelunga - Weekend Report
Introduction:
We arrive in Italy, visiting the challenging Vallelunga venue. This track is very technical, with fast and long slow corners, and many difficult hairpins, where you shift down from gear 6/5 at top speed to gear 1, no revs, full lock, just to make it around it the corner, than nailing the throttle on the right moment. Let's review the qualify and race.
Vallelunga, Track map.
Race, Top 3 review:
Qualify, Top 3 review:
Edwards claimed the pole with a time of 1.36.662, to be the only one to go under 1.37. TJBolier had a strong qualify performance in second, with a time of 1.37.057, only 0.033 seconds in front of third, BlueChris. The grid from start position 2 to 5 was only separated with 0.093 seconds, so close!
This track turned out to be quite difficult, but very enjoyable. The sharp hairpins were truely the bottleneck for everyone. Only 8 drivers managed to set a qualify time within 1 second from pole. Only 14 drivers managed to set a qualify time within 2 seconds of pole. Let's move on to the race day!
With 22 drivers on the grid, the battle was on. Edwards had a good start from pole going first into corner one. TJBolier in second, had a less good start. B-izadfar and BlueChris both had a mega start, claiming second and third, followed by TJBolier in fourth. The field accelerated down the main straight to corner 1.
In corner 1 everything went wrong. MaxMotus had a good start from grid position 9 and moved up to position 6 next to Vassilis. Going into corner 1, MaxMotus braked 50 meters later than the rest. That shoot him through to 5th, but also right into the group battling for second. MaxMotus went on the inside of TJBolier rammed BlueChris into b-izadfar who had to pay the price for this shunt, spinning off in the gravel, losing many positions. Going out of corner 1, Edwards was leading, BlueChris in second, and MaxMotus in third.
Later that lap, Edwards went wide at the second hairpin, BlueChris saw his chance to claim position 1, but nailed the throttle to early, putting his car into a half spin, MaxMotus benefited and moved up to 2nd, followed by BlueChris in third. Behind there was an incident between TJBolier and Vassilis both spinning off, resulting in many lost places for both.
BlueChris was meanwhile putting pressure on MaxMotus battling for position 2, BlueChris almost got him at the end of lap 1, but MaxMotus kept the race line and managed to stay in 2nd. They accelerated up the straight for lap 2, and it all went wrong in corner 1 again. In an attempt to overtake MaxMotus, BlueChris braked much later, and could not avoid MaxMotus, hitting him and both went off into the gravel, losing many positions. Zunik and Frozen benefited and moved up into 2nd and 3rd.
Incident, lap 1, corner 1.
The Field, Lap 1, corner 1.
Race mode was enabled by now, and the field started to battle through the coming laps. Locutus who was involved in a incident in lap 1, crashing off, moved up through the field and was starting to put pressure on Frozen in 3rd. Frozen felt the burden of pressure, and put his burden on Zunik for second. The battle was on! In lap 4 coming up the straight, Frozen caught the slipstream of Zunik, he had a good chance to pass him on the straight, until suddenly a backmarker came out of the pit, just before the full speed S corner on the straight. Frozen decided to back off and give some room to Zunik, but Locutus managed to benefit of this, and got by Frozen to claim 3rd. But not for long, later that lap Locutus in an attempt to overtake Zunik span off, hitting the throttle to early out of the hairpin, dropping down to 5th. Then, in only one lap, locutus managed to go back from 5th into 3rd, by overtaking NewtyNG5 and Frozen.
Locutus managed to close the gap to Zunik by lap 9, and claimed second at the hairpin, overtaking Zunik. Zunik did not give up and was on the tail of locutus for the next couple of laps, with a few attempts to claim 2nd back. Until in lap 12, Zunik span in the second hairpin, and stuck in front of the wall, putting his car in reverse to get out of there, dropping down to 5th. Frozen and TJBolier benefited moving up in 3rd and 4th.
The top was settled, they paced and defended their position towards the finish. Edwards claimed his 4th victory of the season, followed by locutus in second, settling for another podium. Frozen came home with a well deserved 3rd place. Congratulations to all! The champagne tasted sweet and washed all tears away.

b-izadfar: "Qualifying was close, but this time it would not be representative of the race... in a good way! I made a mistake in the hairpin on S3 which probably cost 2 tenths, but I was confident for getting off the line and a good consistent race pace. TJ seemed to bog on his start which let Chris and I pass him on either side. There was an accident at turn 2 and I was involved, so I rejoined in P21 but the rear right suspension was damaged/bent. The very next lap there was a coming together with 3 cars at turn 1 so I was able to get into P17 pretty soon and P14 by lap 3. I let Chris pass as he was making his way back up too and it could only benefit both of us in a good way, plus he also had the pace to be certainly 2nd. I wasn't going anywhere behind Cruicky as I was forced to lift just about every flat out section or get run off the road. I wasn't in the mood to put up with it for anymore laps. I gave him a little nudge at turn 7 and headed side by side to turn 8 and made the pass. On lap 15, MM passed Trick in turn 2/3 so it set me up nicely for turn 4. Had a nice little battle with MM for 2 laps, but I sense he waved me by afterwards. I caught Buattilla and he yielded for P7. There was only 2 laps left and the gap to Newty was 3+sec. Anything could happen, so I kept going hard. On the last lap there was only a few tenths in it but I couldn't find a way to pass, maybe another lap would make a difference. My fastest lap 1:37.900 with no aero assist shows that it was possible to finish comfortably 2nd or 3rd today. The car came good after some laps even with the damage, and I can't help to think how much faster it would be without it. The challenge in the drivers' championship slipped away at Rd3, and it is almost slipping away for runner up or 3rd. Though I will not give up. "
Locutus: "It has been a busy couple of weeks for me, moving to a new home and settling in. Last week was a no go race wise because of a failing internet connection and so forth. I hardly had anytime to practice but managed to do a really good lap in qual (PB) with a 1.37.1. It was a pity that some guys squeezed it in front of me all within one tenth! Hehe. Except for Ed of course. But off to the race: the start went bad when I touched vassilis and I got slammed into the wall, with my right flank in crumbles and in P13 I knew that it was going to be a fun race ? I managed to climb up and had some good fair battles with dj, newty, frozen and zunik. In lap 4 I made a little mistake and was back in P5 again. After some more fighting I was finally in P2 where I was able to stay ahead of frozen for the remaining of the race. Congratz to Ed for nailing the championship! I hope last race will be as cool as the last ones . Cya in 2 weeks guys."
Trick: "Was a very fun race for me. I had action with some pretty hard fights all around me. Untill the 15th lap. Then i started to get a little loneley. Nothing special happend after that. Except that i drove my PB lap in race. See you all next race "

We move on to the last round of the megane championship. You can choose what track we will drive! Please vote in the poll, see the link below!

Round 6
Estoril 1988 - Weekend Report
Introduction:
We arrive in Portugal, on the great Estoril venue. Estoril in 1988 was a lot different than it is now. The corners had a great flow, and the cars could carry a lot of speed through them. The track was very fast and exciting. Let's see what our great drivers did here.
Estoril 1988, Top view.
Race, Top 3 review:
Qualify, Top 3 review:
Edwards claimed the pole with a smashing time of 1.37.140. b-izadfar showed his strength to perform well for the championship, by taking second start position on the grid with a time of 1.37.508, 0.368 seconds slower than pole. Yiannis-HGT surprised many with a very good lap, clinching the second start position place on the grid.
Putting down a good qualify time and pace on this track was not easy for everyone. Only 9 drivers managed to set a qualify time within 1 second from pole. Only 13 drivers managed to set a qualify time within 2 seconds of pole. Proofing that a good pace is very important here for the race to increase the chances of a good result.
With 24 drivers on the grid, the battle was on. Edwards had a good start going first into corner one. b-izadfar followed him in second. BlueChris in fourth had a great start and caught Yiannis-HGT to take over third.
With some battles throughout the field, everyone went down into pace mode, pacing the next couple of laps away, without to many things happening.
By lap 5, BlueChris managed to close the gap to b-izadfar in second, hence he launched an attack on the inside of the hairpin after the long backstraight, successful! BlueChris went into second, chasing the leader Edwards. Edwards and BlueChris dissapeared in the horizon both on a comparable great pace.
The Field, Lap 1, corner 3 shot by stewartgpboy.
The Field, Lap 1, corner 1 shot by stewartgpboy.
By lap 12, Vassilis in fourth managed to close the gap to b-izadfar in third. They battled for a few laps, until Vassilis did a small mistake, giving b-izadfar a gap, which he would keep for the coming laps.
Until in lap 16, b-izadfar's car went into a spin, after nailing the brake and swinging the car into oversteer, rejoining the track in fifth, gifting Vassilis and Frozen third and fourth.
The positions were set and would stay the same until the finish flag. Edwards took his third victory of the megane season. BlueChris in second, climbing the podium steps again becoming a champagne addict. In third, Vassilis had a great performance and podium again, rounding up the podium.

With so many action on the grid and through out the race, you can imagine it is impossible for us to give everyone the credit in the news they deserve. That's why we got user reports. Drivers can submit their own race review and we will include it in the news. For this round we start of with:
StewartGPBoy: "'StewartGPBoy likes Estoril and it showed with his best qualifying position of the season (12th). After a busy first lap Stewart enjoyed some close running with NewtyNG5 and buattila, before losing it on lap 6 trying to put a move on Newty under braking over the bumpy approach to turn 7. This tap with the barriers left Stewart with additional understeer on a car that already enjoyed more than a little push. A similar mistake by buattila several laps later put Stewart back up a place, while Newty's unavoidable collision with a spinning Yiannis-HGT on lap 17 left Newty with a badly crabbing Megane. The ailing Newty subsequently let Stewart and buattila through. With 3 laps to go buattila set his fastest race lap and made a move on Stewart into turn 1 for which Stewart had no answer. buattila, Stewart and Newty finally finished in 11th, 12th and 13th places."
CasH: "Well, I started as usual pretty much at the back. I had a good start and ended up after first corner at position 16! However I made a stupid spin in lap one, bringing me... last position :D. I damaged the suspension but was able to continue, knowing some others would make stupid mistakes as well :P. And yes, after some laps I again gained some positions, until.... another same stupid spin which ended me hard into some barrier again :(. More damage but still able to drive and even overtake some less fortunate spinners ;). Apology to Art-Tech-Uk who was so unfortunate to be behind me one of my spins and he couldn't avoid me, causing him to visit the pits fo repairs. Well, at least I got my personal target: finishing in front of Iron_gr :D:P. 16th After all. I'm happy, as it WAS fun again!"
NewtyNG5: "The start was pretty clean by all (from what i saw) , and the first lap was great fun, wheel to wheel. I think i was 9th behind TJBolier, at the end of lap 1. During the race i had great scraps with Zunik, Tygernoot, MMotus, Mcmilan, and Yiannis (to mention a few). Near the end of the race had some great fun with Tyger, Mcmilan, and Yiannis, then Tyger span off and had to pit :( . The next lap i went slightly wide, Mcmilan and Yiannis scraped by. Then the lap after that Yiannis spun, he span right, then left, so i went right LOL ... Er well he span right again, and BOOM. Yiannis i think re-joined but DNF'ed shortly after :(. I decided to stuggle with a knackered car, wobbling around for the last 7 laps, which wasnt much fun haaha. StewartGPBoy and Buatilla were closing, having there own race, so i decided to let them through and not spoil it. A fun race, grats to all."
Frozen: "It was an intense race with not so much overtaking as it was in st. jovite, but challenging to find a good race pace to finish in a good position. The start was average, I did not gain positions, but in 3rd corner I ran a little bit wide and lost 2 places. I managed to recover these 2 places before end of lap one thanks to others mistakes. I started to push hard in the next laps and had a nice two way battle with TJ and Yiannis, and eventually I was able to get ahead of them. Next one was DJCruicky who I passed quite clean in first corner after slipstreaming him. After that it was hard, pushing to my limits each lap to try reduce the gap to the guys in front, but they were equal if not faster than me. Fortunately in the closing laps one of them (b-izadfar) made a mistake and I climbed a position, from there I only had to watch him not to get much close and that was it. Finished in 4th position, not too bad, that was probably the maximum I could have done here looking to the laptimes of the guys in front of me, they were untouchable for me this time."
b-izadfar: "Qualifying was good, kind of surprised to be 2nd. But I knew it was not going to representative of the race. the cars on the front row got a great launch, and I saw Chris got past Yianni on turn 1, so I already felt a little pressure. I tried to push hard early on make a little bit of a buffer to make it a bit easier for myself. But anyway, I was under increasing pressure from lap 2 or 3. Lap 5 turn 3 was the first time I had to really go defensive and after the straight from turn 5 to 7, I couldn't do much but sit in the middle of the track (lol) and get passed. On the LCD I saw Vassilis behind, and since he is same team/similar setup(I'm not sure:P), I thought: "f***!". The main pace of our rivals cars were I think about .6 ~ a lap quicker over the race distance, so there was not much I could do to keep a gap except take odd lines on the straights and shake the toe since there are very long straights here. On lap 12 I came out wide of last corner which isn't ideal and defended turn 1 successfully, and did the same next 2 laps. I got distracted, made a mistake on lap 16 and conceded two positions. 3rd was the best possible in the race even though the speed was not there at all, and the track doesn't make that any easier. On a positive point, we finished in front of the main contenders but more points would've been nice."
TJBolier: "Great race, was a pace track. Was sleeping at start, but had a great race after with a few battles. Pace work for the rest towards finish. Many congrats to all. P.S. SMC Frozen!"
Conclusion:
We move on to round the last two rounds of the megane championship. We will drive on the italian track Vallelunga next round.

Round 5 - StJovite - Weekend Report
Round 5
StJovite - Weekend Report
Introduction:
Here we go again, on this rather expensive and intensive flight schedule, back to Canada StJovite! Most teams are getting into financial trouble, because of the high costs involved shipping all their stuff from continent to continent, and country to country. With the coming economy crisis, banks are not easy in giving out loans anymore. Are more teams going the "Don't lift" way, by doing dodgy theatrical plays with leather suits throughout the week in back-neighbourhoods to boost revenues? Luckily there is common sense under other teams and the grid reduced a bit in the number of contestors for round 6, fair enough! Let's see what happened out there!
Race, Top 3 review:
Qualify, Top 3 review:
The revenues are working well for Edwards, clinching pole with a time of 1:36.213. Second on the grid, Yiannis-HGT showing he can still do it, with a big gap of 0.598 to pole. Close behind, third on the grid, b-izadfar proofs he is a good qualifier yet again. Let's see what happened in the race on this bumpy track! The setup has to be very stable with the tyres going off in the second part of the race, resulting in oversteer on bumps. A challenge was waiting for everyone! Especially the first uphill corner was tricky, with huge bumps, would the large pack of cars accelerating from the grid, manage to squeeze itself through the bumpy first corner? Let's review!
The field rushing down corner one from trackside, lap 1
The field battling corner 3, lap 1
Gentleman, start your engines, here we go, 23 laps giving it all to pursue a desired result!
The lights popped green, 22 cars burned their rubber all over the track, Edwards grabbed the lead into corner 1, followed by b-izadfar and Bluechris. The rest of the pack followed closely battling for position.
End of lap 1, the gear 2 left corner up the hill, with all the bumps, Edwards was to late on the brakes flying of the track into the grass, clipping the wall, rejoining the track on position 5. B-izadfar grabbed the lead, followed by Bluechris and now MaxMotus in third. But not for long, in lap two b-izadfar was to hard on the brakes, throwing his car into a half spin, dropping down to position 9. BlueChris went into the lead, followed by MaxMotus and Edwards now, all moving up position.
Later that lap Edwards clinched position 2 again, by overtaking MaxMotus. Not for long, yet again, As Edwards went off again putting his car in the wall dropping back behind MaxMotus and MJanosh. MJanosh caught MaxMotus demoting him back to third. Because of all the fighting for position two, the pack behind closed up resulting in major fights from position 2 to position 6 all together.
This pack fight would last for many laps, Edwards was putting pressure on MaxMotus in second, in an attempt to overtake he ruined in. TJBolier grabbed his chance after moving up through the field and went into fourth, followed by locutus, grabbing fifth demoting Edwards back to position 6.
Meanwhile Bluechris was way ahead in the lead, but ruined his chances for the victory, by going off in corner 1, into a spin, and dropping back to position 8. MJanosh was now leading in front of MaxMotus and locutus. YET AGAIN, not for long, as MJanosh did a mistake ala BlueChris dropping back to position 5, with Edwards moving back in the top 3 followed by TJBolier.
In lap 10, locutus overtook MaxMotus for position 2. MaxMotus tried to grab it back, and hit the brakes very late with locutus going wide, leaving space for Edwards to move up in second, behind locutus. Meanwhile on the corner exit MaxMotus clipped the curb, and hit the throttle, off into a spin smashing the wall. TJBolier benefited and moved up to positon 3.
Edwards was putting pressure on locutus for the lead in lap 11, while TJBolier closed up behind them. In an attempt to outbrake locutus, they went wide in the hairpin before the long backstraight, TJBolier moved up just behind locutus and Edwards in their slipstream. Three wide they were rushing down the straight to the next corner where it all went wrong! TJBolier in his enthusiasm rammed Edwards off into the wall, ruining his race. TJBolier slowed down because of the incident, off the racing line. MJanosh approached through the corner and was sleeping it seems with his slow respons on the incident, and rammed TJBolier from behind into a spin on the grass, dropping TJBolier back to position 7. Meanwhile, MJanosh went on in second and Edwards after rejoining the track went back into position 3. But not for long, as he suffered a puncture and bend suspension from the incident, and went off the last corner into the gravel. He decided to pit and let his pit crew fix his car, his chances were ruined and his race was over. Vassilis benefited and moved up into third.
Finally, the top 3 was settled. locutus leading with MJanosh in second and Vassilis in third. It seemed to be pacing to the finish for the top 3. Vassilis showed his very strong pace, and closed in on MJanosh rapidly, overtaking him in lap 15.
The top 3 would remain the same after towards the finish. locutus claimed an amazing victory, his second of the season. Followed by Vassilis with a very strong performance in second. MJanosh came home third to round up the podium for this exciting round.
What a battle for the win and podium places! AMAZING, this was only the top 3 review, but throughout the field there were many amazing fights during the race! We recommand to read the user reports below, to experience what happened throughout the field!

With so many action on the grid and through out the race, you can imagine it is impossible for us to give everyone the credit in the news they deserve. That's why we got user reports. Drivers can submit their own race review and we will include it in the news. For this round we start of with:
locutus: "Woooo, what a race, best one in years! Okay Ill try to keep it brief. Start: P5 and well of the grid. Little tap from MJ (no biggie) in T1 made me go into a spin P16 ? I managed to overtake stewart, buatilla and trick (tnx ?) in the remaining of lap 1. In lap 2 I had 2 major moments avoiding zunik and b-i, I managed to pass Vassilis on the outside. Vassilis got stuck on my ass the rest of the race, but more on that later, hehe. In lap 3 I passed Ricardo, I was in P8 by then. Lap 4 was dull, no passing, lol. In lap 5 I passed newty, gave a little tap to DJ but nothing bad happened, sorry m8. In lap 6 I overtook DJ. Lap 7 was about chasing TJ, Ed, MM and MJ. Lap 8 was fun with the four way battle and I managed to overtake Ed and Tj. In lap 9 I overtook Bluechris because he had spun. In lap 10 MJ made a mistake and we overtook him, still fighting MM (front) and Ed (back) which was cool, I finally overtook MM after an intense battle. In lap 11 Ed was still on my tail but TJ was back for more ? so again a three way fight. TJ bumped into Ed so they went of, and I was lucky and gone in P1. So from lap 12 I tried to build a gap to MJ and vassilis in P3. Because they where fighting I managed to build the gap to about 4 secs in lap 19. From there of I was trying to cruise but it didnt help that vassilis was doing 1.36s. In the final laps I lost a lot of time but passed the finishline with 1.4 secs over Vassilis. Well done m8, great race from you too. Amazing race! Congratz to everybody who had fun and especially to the podium finishers! More, more, more!!! "
Frozen: "The start went well despite getting a little bit blocked, I managed to climb some positions up to 6th and my pace was right with the one of the front group. But on lap 4 or so I made a mistake, I spun and was hit by at least two cars who couldn't avoid me and damaged my car quite seriously. I was down to 15th or 16th and the car was tricky to drive nearly 1 sec slower. I was on fire having lot of fun overtaking many cars in many ways, and also having a good battle with Mcmilan who was as fast as me also climbing positions. Unfourtanely when I was 8th and closing to the guys in front I had a CTD and my race finished. My mistake was a shame, I think I could have been top-5 easy but those things happen, at least I had lots of fun! "
stewartgpboy: "'Trouble was stirring in the Stewart Team garage on race morning when Stewart turned up at the circuit sporting a particularly bad hangover from his Stag Party antics of the previous night. The smart money was on him crashing out at the first turn. The opposite in fact was true and after a bit of dicing with McMilan on lap 2, StewartGPBoy settled down for a steady race running in close company with Chacal and PCRacer to start with before catching up with Trick on lap 8. This gave Stewart a grandstand view of Trick's various duels with both b-izadfar and buattila and it was only a last lap manoeuvre by Ricardo that split Stewart and Trick at the flag. "Not a bad result for such a difficult circuit," said Stewart, "perhaps I should be hung over more often when I race." "
TJBolier: "Amazing race! Lot's of fights and so much action, was crazy, but mega mega fun. My apologies go out to Edwards, who i rammed off, SORRY, my fault!! My frustration goes out to MJanosh, who clearly rammed me off after, while in my opinion he had enough time to respond, but my frustration is here, because he never apologized for it, only laughed about it, when i mentioned it, i do not understand why, apologizing would have done me well! Looking forward to next race! "
Conclusion:
We move on to next round, on the old and fast Estoril track. A good pace will be very important here. Let's fly to europe !

Round 4 - Detroit - Weekend Report
Round 4
Detroit - Weekend Report
Introduction:
We fly over back to USA for the first street track in the megane championship, Detroit. This great venue is very wide for a street track, but has some great fast and slow challenging corners. Sure the race will be breath taking here, squeezing the pack through the walls without incidents. This meant the qualify is very important here, let's see what happened!
Race, Top 3 review:
Qualify, Top 3 review:
Edwards as usual by now, clinched pole by 0.297 seconds over locutus in second position. locutus missed the first round of the megane championship, but sure shows he is putting more and more pressure on the top spots! B-izadfar, took third place on the grid, 0.553 seconds behind pole. The top 10 was within one second, and the top 17 within 2 seconds, prooving this track devides up the field more than others!
Looking back on the field from Kubus car, lap 1
The field getting squeezed corner 3, lap 1
With 31 cars on grid, the excitement was there. Would the bumpers stay on ? Is my pit still free when we ALL go in lap 1 ? NO WORRIES! As soon as the field accelerated of the grid, everything seemed to go just fine. The field squeezed itself through the first two corners and had to brake hard for corner 3. Corner 3 had a litte incident resulting in a legendary roll of one of the contesters, see the thumbnail below!
Edwards took the lead, followed by B-izadfar in second, and TJBolier in third. Many battles were going on throughout the field, although the race on the top seemed to be decided, until the middle of the race!
Edwards crashed into a backmarker causing a bend suspension on his car. He was still in the lead with the gap he had build up until then, but B-izadfar was closing in quick. With bumping and a lot of touching B-izadfar managed to overtake Edwards and go into the lead. TJBolier meanwhile closed the gap during the fight, and closed up behind Edwards to overtake him also by a surprise attack. Later that lap Edwards bumped his way through to second again, but
TJBolier would not accept that, and put his car next to edwards, touching each other all the way through to next corner, where TJBolier had the inside and clinched second position.
Meanwhile B-izadfar had opened a gap and seemed to be going towards the victory, until he span on a corner exit, and saw the top runners pass him in front of his bonnet. Meanwhile Vassilis and McMilan closed the gap to Edwards also and both degraded Edwards from second to position four, but not for long, as they both got very very bad luck by running into a backmarker who was parked in a blind corner, throttling full in reverse trying to get away. Edwards benefited of this and went back to second. During all these happenings BlueChris had fought his way up to the top, and clinched third position.
TJBolier took the victory by comming home first, followed by Edwards struggling over the finish, and a great performance by Bluechris in third rounding up the podium. So far the top 3 review of this race, please read the user reports below, and find out what happened throughout the field.

With so many action on the grid and through out the race, you can imagine it is impossible for us to give everyone the credit in the news they deserve. That's why we got user reports. Drivers can submit their own race review and we will include it in the news. For this round we start of with:
Vassilis: "Hi, my 1st report here. Well, starting from 6th the first 2 turns were tight but clean, gained 1 place. Next turn someone tried a scary move on the inside and he went straight on! For the rest of the lap I was defending hard from 6th DJCruicky, managed to get a small gap and concentrate on 4th McMilan. Was very hard and took time to catch him, then I got an opportunity down the inside of Turn 3. However McMilan just like Schumi M turned in :P contact avoided :-)! On some of next laps I got him on Turn 5, passed him on the inside with little touching. Next target was TJ who was battling with Edwards-injured car. Promoted to 3rd after B-izadfar spun from the lead and started pressuring Ed's "drunk" car LOL while TJ got into the lead. After many scary moments, I passed Ed and now it was TJ and me with Ed 3rd slowing the others. Unfortunately at the fast-right blind corner in sector 2, I crashed a backmarker spun, no chance to avoid him :-(. Got all the front damaged, pitted and rejoined (after lost total a hell of time) to be the next guy to be lapped by TJ! The next guy in front was far ahead, closed very much the gap but run out of laps. Quite disappointed that lost a golden opportunity for a top result as rarely the big guys hit problems. Congrats to TJ and see you all in St. Jovite! "
B-izadfar: "Got a reasonable start from 2nd and stayed in 2nd trying to match Edwards for the first few laps and built an early gap over TJ. Lap 6 we came to the first backmarker who stopped/slowed down right in my path at exit turn 5, so I gave him the hoot! Ed was able to extend his lead easily, and the gap to TJ remained pretty static. The gap came down from 9sec to about 3seconds immediately after he crashed with another backmarker causing severe damage 1/2 way through the race. Into turn 3 on lap 14 I took the lead and now it was TJ's turn and he had to cop some uppercuts from Edwards. Vassilis and Milan were right behind now, and starting to pressure them both! I threw it all away on lap 17 with a spin in a bad position, stalled it as well (ffs lol) and conceded to 7 cars. I was behind the Cruicky, Tyger, BC battle train. Tyger was the first to gift me 7th when he came together with Cruicky, then Vassilis in the same corner the very next lap gave me 6th. Two turns later Cruicky gave me 5th. On lap 21 Milan let me pass in turn 6 to move up to 4th. TJ went off in the distance and in the closing laps I could see BC and Ed. I got close to BC on lap 25 after turn 6, and was stuck there until he made a mistake into the last corner and I took the final podium spot in the s/ff + turn 1... until I rubbed the wall at turn 2 exit. I rubbed the walls so many times today with np, but it cost in the last lap and a shot at Edwards for P2. The backmarkers were amazingly poor today, of course some were very humble and acted properly (thanks much guys). Would not be surprised to a see some warnings or even penalties! I warned you guys in forum that detroit may have major car manufacturers there but no Renault! A result to forget, a race to remember! "
CasH: "The shortest one ever by me. Had to brake at start for Rusty in front of me who was fallen asleep? I got hit from the back and another time with nose pointing the other way. Flat tire and LOTS of damage. Went to pit, 80 seconds repair! LOL! Too fast in pit, so S/G. WHATEVER I did, they every stop serviced me, so after 3 stops I got black flag... No, I did not request pit Looking forward to the next, hopefully without S/G "
McMilan: "Race was good in first 20 laps. Had a nice battle with Vassilis half a race or so, then he passed me and I tryed to stay together catching both TJ. Then things going to be excite. First Edwards for some reason slowed (probably damage) and we all (TJ, Vassilis and me) catched him. But after b-izadfar's spin we all 4 going to be in first top 4 positions with minor difference. Stricken Sean was a solid haul now and Vassilis got him quickly and I preparing for execution too (what a nice feeling) :). But!!! ... then 6 laps to go some lapped car spunned in an blind corner whose TJ and Edwards successfully avoided but Vassilis and me crashed badly into him and wall. I lost max speed and grip drastically and my steering was bent, last 6 laps was a painful losing positions cruising 4-5 sec. slower. Shame, I had a good chance for 2nd-3rd position at the end. "
stewartgpboy: "Stewart was pleased to qualify 16th on the grid for Round 4 and even more pleased to find himself in 12th position by the end of the first lap. By lap 4 he was up to 10th with Zunik closing in behind. For 8 laps Stewart held off the more experienced Zunik before finally succumbing to the pressure and making a mistake exiting turn 5. That mistake resulted in a 53 second pitstop for repairs, closely followed two laps later by a 10 second stop/go for speeding in the pitlane. On the final lap, Stewart and Tygernoot went either side of 10Loser10 before Stewart mistakenly gave up 17th position to the faster Tygernoot. A radio error lead Stewart to believe he was being lapped instead of fighting for position.Stewart later said "Overall I was pleased with the pace we showed today, we just need to cut out these little errors if we're to score more serious points." "
TJBolier: "Good qualify, managed to grab third at start of McMilan. Got Edwards for second and to victory after b-izadfars mistake. Great race, with a lot of fights and exciting moments, especially the yellow flags in blind corners, were very exciting, because you did not know what was waiting for you. I got through all of that and a great victory. Many thanks to all who congratulated me, your names and words are all memorized for future! I hope you all get your desired result soon too. Bad luck for Vassilis and McMilan who lost their podium, because of an unlucky backmarker accident!"
kreet69:
"1st of all i wan to appologise for the hit i did to iron, sorry iron, and sorry buattila i think he hit you, ok then sorry bu and iron i braked to early ok for the other was a boring race all time with suspension broked i stoped 1 time in box for 1 accident and then i lost 1 min and 26 seconds in stop + 10 o 15 s for entry in box then i was dobled for all. for the other good video like always: "
iron_gr:
"Big crashes, big massacres and an Angel of Death... (or many :D) Video review of some of mine incidents and some of others ;) "
Conclusion:
This street track was really exciting! We move on to next round on StJovite. As Bluechris said a track for men with balls! This track has many exciting fast corners with difficult bumps. You need a good stable setup here, with big balls! Join in all and experience the blast! See you on StJovite.

Round 3 - Barbagallo - Weekend Report
Round 3
Barbagallo - Weekend Report
Introduction:
The championship participants after a long travel oversea on the great Barbagallo track in Australia. Many drivers confessed in the pressroom, that Barbagallo is such a blast in the meganes! Fast and slow (cambered) corners with a long straight. So much challenge and ability to race and fight for position in a short intensive track! Let's see if they were still happy after the weekend!
Qualify:
Edwards clinched pole by 0.255 seconds over B-izadfar in second position, AGAIN!. Locutus, showing hes aimning for the top spots again, claimed the third position on the grid! The top 17 was within one second, and the top 34 within two seconds. How close again!
The field in heat 1. Lights green!
The field in heat 1. Lap 1, battling for position.
The field in heat 1. Approaching last corner over crest.
Race:
The race grid was devided into 2 heats of 22 drivers, because the track only allowed circa 30 drivers on grid. The racing was great, with a lot of fights in both heats! The top championship drivers were all glued to each other in heat 1 battling for the podium positions. Heat 2 however, had huge battles also, with great racing!
Locutus drifted away from pole in heat 1 and lost position to serhanemre in corner 1, but not for long when locutus clinched the first position again by overtaking serhanemre. Last called had a good pace, but unfortunately he span twice to loose positions and drop back in the field. Meanwhile many fights developed behind locutus. locutus build up his gap to the field, and secured his victory. Behind locutus, Vassilis messed up his podium chances also, by going off the track and dropping back to behind serhanemre. TJBolier who also span in the begin of the race and dropped back a few, moved up slowly again through the field, and started to catch up on MJanosh who was second at that time. The last 8 laps would be a huge battle between both, with overtaking each other several times, but in the end TJBolier clinched it in second, defending as much as possible last lap. Vassilis catched up Serhanemre meanwhile and had a huge battle, last lap, last backstraight into last corner, Vassilis got into the slipstream of serhanemre and put his car next to his last corner, they drifted out of the corner next to each other to the finish line and serhanemre saved his fourth position by only 0.010 seconds!
AMAZING Race at the top! Edwards raced alone and managed to clinch second with 30 seconds handicap, moving TJBolier back up in third op the final podium! Nice job as well! So far our short news review concerning the top 3 in both qualify and race. So many things happened on this track, great battles resulting in great emotions. We strongly recommand to read the user reports below!

With so many action on the grid and through out the race, you can imagine it is impossible for us to give everyone the credit in the news they deserve. That's why we got user reports. Drivers can submit their own race review and we will include it in the news. For this round we start of with:
CasH: "Started 2nd this one (yes, yes, don't worry, it was Heat 2 ;) ). I had a bad start and ended up in 5th position. A GREAT race and catching up.... after losing quite some time with an early spin :(. Then mid race I was in second place and closing rapidly to leader Kreet69. I just set the fastest lap of the race. Then suddenly... screen froze JUST as I was full speed! After about 30 seconds it came back alive, with poor me being in some wall, unable to continue :(. Pity, but still yet another GREAT race! Looking forward to the next! P.S. At least Iron-Gr now can finally say he beat me (while being WAY behind me when my crash was :P). "
ricardoferreira: "my race start very well, best start ever in megane, in lap 2\3 nice fight with kaillera.. next i spun, back in last... catch the anothers, and when i catch, someone spun and back for the track in middle, its not normal, in my point of view i do only do hit me..... and my race is over... next time when someone went off, come too the track easy and not in middle of the track thanks"
MJanosh: "I had a great start, and awsome race with mr TJ, great close fights with him all over the track and want to congrats to him for beating my pants up this time, and want to say, soon i will pay u back! :D"
locutus: "After a decent start I had a great race with serhanemre for the first 5 laps, great fair battle. After he spun it was a straight forward race for me, trying to build a gap and the guys battling behind me helped me do that I was aiming for low 55s cause I knew that would give me 1st place with eds 30 secs. disadvantage. In the final laps I had to overtake some backmarkers but they respected my authority so no probs there too ?. Watching the replay it looked like most of you guys also had a great race, great league. Cya in Detroit gents."
DJCruicky: "Not much to say on this race. Got a clean start from near the back of heat 1. Managed to get passed 1 or 2 drivers. Could not get passed buattila. Then I think it was lap 4 or 5 I spined off the track, found myself in no mans land in the middle of the circuit, took forever to get back on track. So was dead last. Doh. Took awhile before anyone else dropped off the fast moving train to race with, but I was finally joined by LulaSenna in which I had a good race with. He was 5 seconds in front of me for a good number of laps, both us matching lap times. I knew if I could just get close enough to get in his slip stream he would be mine. Then it happened, he made a few small mistakes and I was on his tail. Finally got passed after a few failed attempts. Got lapped then finished the race. See you all in next one. "
Edwards: "Raced alone, so was a bit boring, but I just tried to do 40 quali laps and nearly managed it, only made 1 small mistake and lost 1 second, but otherwise it was a perfect race!"
TJBolier: "Awesome race for me, lost a position at start. But had a great car for race, paced through whole race between 55.3 and 55.6. Was second after a few laps thanks to people's mistakes and some overtaking. Then messed it all up by spinning and dropping back to firth or sixth. After that, great battles with many people, but the greatest battle was last 8 laps with MJanosh! Great fair racing and i got his ass so bad this time, he will never take the piss of me again! haha! In the end finished second in heat, and couldn't do better if i didn't spin! Locutus was unbeatable here. Although i could have had Edwards with handicap, without a spin, but that's how it always goed, that's racing and damn good racing, what makes it great! "
Tygernoot: "I started 10th on the grid and made my way to 8th after the first corner and gained a position when MaxMotus went off. I overtook Yiannis when he went through the grass fighting off Vassilis and made up more places when first serhanemre and then TJBolier spun. I let TJ pass me again when he was close behind me (I'm such a team player :P) and kept 4th position for a long time. However serhanemre closed in on me fast and I couldn't keep him behind me. Vassilis had an off as well but overtook me soon after as well. I almost finished in 6th position until I spun by putting the car in 1st gear instead of second. Yiannis couldn't avoid me and we crashed, causing damage to both our cars. MaxMotus passed us both when we collided and so I finished in 8th behind Yiannis. It was a nice race with lots of battles again and I'm looking forward to Detroit."
Trick:
"It was a very disapointing race for me. Because of the split heats i was on pole in heat2. In qualify i didn't get the lap that i was hopin for but being on pole in heat2, maybe i could use that to my advantage. My start was resonable, enough to go in the lead at turn 1. After that i kept gaining time on the guys behind me. I was really on a good race pace, and then this happend. Could use some help to prevent something like this."
kreet69:
"it was an incredible race, i started 7th i go to 3rd in start then i fight during 1 lap with cash, he didnt pass me. then after some laps mike_nap did a small mistake and i was very near and i overtoock him then he did the same with me and in next corner i overtoock him another time. after few laps trick broked his engine and i become 1st then i race the 20 rest laps alone i was very nervous when in 5 laps cash cut me about 7 seconds, he was so fast but he did a mistake then i had luck but this is races :D "
Conclusion:
A great round this was, awesome racing like it should be! Now the time has come, the first street track on the megane league schedule. Are you ready for the walls ? Join in, on the great detroit track and experience the sensation of a street track! Ditch the diaper and get to real racing ! See you on Detroit!

Round 2 - Mid America - Weekend Report
Round 2
Mid America - Weekend Report
Introduction:
There has been some tumult about this track. Some drivers loved the venue, some disliked it! The track was tight, hard to gain time on and even more hard to overtake other drivers fighting for position. The positive notes wrapped around these facts are, that many long during fights evolved in the race. However, dispite the tumult over the track, the weekend turned out to be great again with a great race!
Qualify:
Edwards clinched pole by only 0.011 seconds over B-izadfar in second position. BlueChris claimed the third position on the grid, by only 0.083 seconds from pole! Very close on top! The top 12 was within one second, and the top 22 within two seconds. Enough close stuff for the race!
Onboard @ Edwards, corner 1. Looking back on the field.
Race:
With 38 cars on grid, round 1 was just a small heat with 35 drivers! Well, a bit sarcastic! Everyone experienced how it was with such a big grid in the first rounds race. The drivers were focused to put in a good result and fight for position until the very last end in round 2. let's see how it went!
When the lights popped to green, the 38 cars screamed their way into corner 1. The grid was very close, but everyone controled their line and respect to others very well and there were no big incidents. During lap 1 everyone got situated in his position and involved in fights with drivers in front and behind them. Some great fights were shown from the front to the back! It's a pleasure to watch the replay and see all the action. Congratulations to everyone for behaving well !
Edwards maintained his lead from pole position and managed to create a gap to locutus who finished in second debuting in his first megane race this season, with a solid performance after overtaking Bizadfar and Mjanosh. B-izadfar grabbed another podium, in third.
Overall it was a great race, not only at the top, but through out the field. Read the user reports below send in by drivers who competed in this race, to get a feel of how it was.
User Reports:
With so many action on the grid and through out the race, you can imagine it is impossible for us to give everyone the credit in the news they deserve. That's why we got user reports. Drivers can submit their own race review and we will include it in the news. For this round we start of with:
PaddyR: "Hey PaddyR here just to say it's great to be back at F1RST3 , Wel thel race was fun had good battles with a few drivers but pushed too hard so I had many & many driver errors that cost me down the grid and getting lapped, but I enjoyed it very fun race thanks."
Tygernoot: "I had a lot of fun with very close battles all race long. At the start I went from 15th to 9th position and tried to stay close to the drivers in front of me. Unfortunately I got pushed onto the grass when overtaking a backmarker, causing me to fall back to 12th position. My suspension was bent as well, making the car difficult to drive. As my teammate (TJBolier) was driving behind me at a slightly faster pace, I let him pass me on the straight. One lap later Yiannis overtook me as well. Then I just tried to keep position and make it to the finish as my tyres were degrading quickly. In the end Yiannis made a mistake and I finished in 13th position. Amusing race, but not a great result :)."
DJCruicky: "Started 9th. Got a good start. Could not do nothing with it, had to slow to avoid hitting back of Yiannis's slow moving car. Watched lots of cars fly passed me as I followed Yiannis to turn 1 :(. TJBolier losses it and takes Yiannis out, with me braking hard to avoid them both. Lot more cars overtake me, plus got rear ended as I tried to get going. Followed RustyM for a few laps and got passed him on the main straight. Think I saw McMilan go off the track. Tygernoot and LulaSenna were having a good fight together in front of me which allowed me to caught them up. They come across a slow moving backmarker just before the last corner. All 3 ended up piling into each other with no where to go, with me being the lucky one to get through in front :D. LulaSenna regained himself and followed me for a good part of the race. Then more traffic in front of us, Alexfighter and Frizzzante racing each other a lap down. Me thinking how am I to get passed these. It was kind of easy as they took each other out. Think Alexfighter ended up driving on 3 wheels. My tyres started to loose grip near the end of the race and with some bad luck with more traffic LulaSenna got passed me. Then with 1 lap to go Vassilis and NewtyNG5 got passed me. Kind of not happy with Newty's pass, but there you go. Ended up a happy 10th "
B-izadfar: "The start was initially good ans safe from the guys behind. It seems MJ turned off his launchbullet.exe for race so it was a relief (lol). Turn 1,2,3,4 was clean till turn 5 where I believe Ed broke early(or maybe delay) and I almost ran into him which gave MJ a chance to pass and he did so. I had Chris on my tail for the next laps until he went off. I then tried to catch MJ in the next 5 or 6laps. When you get close enough on this track it was difficult for me to make a safe pass so only chance is stay close out of last corner. Locutus caught up very close to make it a 3 way fight. On lap 8 I tried inside in Turn 1 on Mj. I left plenty of room on exit to get a good approach to turn 2 when I felt a hit (???) out of turn 3 I stayed close to MJ and was able to pass in turn 5. On the next lap Loco passed MJ in turn 1 and was glued to my tail for the next 11 laps. On lap 20 Loco made a great move around outside in turn 6. It was a great fair drive from lap 9/10 all the way to finish between him and I. Enjoyed the driving with him very much!"
CasH: "Yet again a FUN race to be in! Started 29th and missed my first breaking point, due to others blocking my view on reference points :P. I slightly hit 2 guys (SORRY!) but waited for them and then continued behind them. Lost some places because of it as well. Then the chase of the pack began... I can't remember who I overtook and who overtook me, but a few special guys I remember. Iron-Gr said some 5 races ago he would ALWAYS beat slow, old CasH. Well, from the moment I joined rF racing, I beat him ALL races :D. We had some great close racing! TBH Iron overtook me with a nice move, but after an error by him (again :P) I could pass again and after that never saw him again :P. Another guy I have (verbal :P) competition with is Padski aka Fastline aka 'Mr. Namechange' ;). I don't have to tell how much fun I had LAPPING him :D. The last guy I mention, who I never saw during race was a weirdo called Chavpionskischen aka Edwards. Of course he won the race, but again didn't lap me, which seems a very poor result to me for him ... :D :P. Finished 19th (but some submissions to do still, so could change). Happy with the result, as it was FUN! Looking forward to the next one!"
Ricardoferreira: "simple race for me, i start the race 2 laps late, cuz my phone ring... when i go to the track, the phone ring again... hard race, without pratice for qualify and for race, and with a stupid phone always ring.""
McMilan: "Started good in first lap and gain position to 8-9th. But in the end of first lap bad thing got started. I lose control and tasted some grass and lose too many positions. Then I break all f1rst3 record in passing cars for position in one race (about 10) ;). All in all my stats is, 2 spins 1 punt and 10 touch-downs, bored race :). "
Flyer23: "I started ok, got turned backwards before the first corner, found myself dead last. Weaved my way through a bunch of carnage on the first lap. Started to get into a rhythm and after passing *CENSORED* he crashed into me no less than 3 times before I had to DNF. Not much fun for me I must say. Otherwise I might have had a top 15 finish which would be GREAT for an AMA like me."
MJanosh: "hi, im MJanosh and im an raceoholic i finished P4 in last race and i had a good overall race with taking P2 after the start. Lap1 - I overstart the Bluechris on start, usualy im a good starter so it payd off, then i got behind B-izadfart and i put some pressure in before the long left one in S1 and b- made a misstake under cold tyres and went a bit wide, opened the door for me and i didn't think twise so i put my ass in there and took P2. Few laps later, Blechris made misstake behind me, so locotus took chardge on B, so he had to push, i was doing my best but B and Loco had mutch faster race pace then me so thay overtake few laps later and i was P4, when serhanmare decided to close the GAP behind me, i sayd to my self im not giving my P4 and started driving like a mad man, there ware fights to the end of the race with Serhanmare and he was a real gent not pushing me all those laps, becide that he was so faster then me... 1 moment 3 laps to go he acidently push me and took over the P4, but made a misstake 2 corners later and spun, so i got my P4 back and held the position to the end. "
MaxMotus: (Raced Alone), "What a cock, crashed on last lap into one of them feckin signs! Wrecked car, but managed to drag it over line! Lost 15 seconds FFS! "
TJBolier: "Had a great race after a bad weekend. Started practice saturday evening, found out the track was mega difficult, but was happy with qualifying close to the top 10 with the idea to gain some positions in race, by other drivers mistakes. Unfortunately in the race DJ Cruicky, Yiannis-HGT and me went three thick to corner one, i was between the two. I should have broken there and left space for them two, but risked it for the moment. It was so tight first corner, that i got squeezed in between, and Yiannis-HGT and me touched sides and we both went into a spin, dropping back to p23 and p24. Sorry to Yiannis-HGT, he could not help it all! Race Incident. But thanks to this race incident my race turned into a great race climbing up the ladder fighting with many people. Special thanks to Mike_Nap and Trick for the sportmanship driving when overtaking, Thank you ! Me and Yiannis-HGT and later Vassilis managed to catch up to NewtyNG5. I tried to pass NewtyNG5 a few times, only got passed once, but he got me back next corner. Later that lap i took to much curb on the hairpin, also avoiding NewtyNG5, and span by own mistake. After that had a short fight with Tygernoot and Yiannis-HGT again which was nice. Overall a great race, and had mega fun!"
Stewartgpboy: "'Tales from the midfield' 'Having missed Round 1 of the championship due to sponsorship problems, StewartGPBoy hoped for a good showing at Mid America in front of his new sponsors. They didn't even have time to paint the sponsors logos onto the new Megane. After a disappointing qualifying effort StewartGPBoy made an excellent start and found himself moving up 3 places into 19th by turn 1. His joy was short lived however when a slight nudge from kreet69 (who had also made an excellent start) sent him into a spin. This left Danny3L nowhere to go and a coming together with the spinning Stewart was inevitable. Both rejoined the circuit back in 36th and 37th. On lap 8 the fast moving Flyer23 tried to re-take StewartGPBoy with a brave manoeuvre around the outside of Turn 5, only to loose rear grip and collide with the side of Stewart. Although both cars continued, both had suffered damage. Despite a bent steering arm StewartGPBoy moved slowly up the field spending periods behind first Frizzzante and then PaddyR. By lap 16 he had caught up with Art-Tech-uk. After several laps of great racing Stewart tried a lunge up the inside of Art-Tech-uk into turn 5 but Art found superior grip in the middle of the corner and managed to exit the turn still in front. The two stayed in these positions to the end of the race and crossed the line 21st and 22nd with StewartGPBoy just half a second behind Art-Tech-uk. "At least I finished where I started" said a downcast Stewart obviously hoping for better at the next race.' "
"I've also included a pic of me (white car), Art-Tech-uk and iron_gr (background) in turn 5":
Kreet69:
"i send a video lol because my english suck my race, best moments and few bad:"

Round 1 - Phillip Island - Weekend Report
Round 1
Phillip Island - Weekend Report
Qualify:
Arriving at this great venue, the preparations and practice sessions were intense and pushing the limit higher and higher for the qualification. Everyone had 4 sessions during the qualification. Enough sessions to get one good lap in.
Edwards clinched pole on the starting grid, with BlueChris and B-izadfar in second and third, 3 to 4 tenths behind. Congratulations qualify top 3 ! The Grid was amazing with 41 people who qualified, on raceday 35 would show up to compete in the race.
MaxMotus blocking the accelerating grid.
Race:
The Grid was massive with 35 cars. Once the green lights popped the field accelarated away. MaxMotus had unknown problems until now, and jumped the start into a full throttle spin, and caused a massive shunt on the starting grid, involving approximately 10 cars.
Edwards was the first to into corner 1, a lead he would never give up again after that. Behind the leader many fights were going on in the top 10 between the top drivers. B-izadfar, BlueChris, Wes, Nightstalk3r, Tjbolier, Zunik, NewtyNG5, Tygernoot, McMilan and MJanosh. The thight battles and pushing the laptimes as much as possible resulted in great intense battles, but also mistakes, resulting in losing positions and podium chances.
Edwards clinched the first megane victory of this season. Followed by B-izadfar finishing 15 seconds behind in second. TJBolier profited of some mistakes by other top drivers and came home third with a solid pace.
User Reports:
With so many action on the grid and through out the race, you can imagine it is impossible for us to give everyone the credit in the news they deserve. That's why we got user reports. Drivers can submit their own race review and we will include it in the news. For this round we start of with:
Ricardofeirrera: "so i start the race in 26 place, and i know in the start something like 5\6 places, but kreet start very well too, but hit Yiannis-HGT, and he hit me, i broke something in the car, and before lap 1 i go to the pit, and to last place cuz i lose 50 seconds in the pit... when i go to the track again, Edwards lap me, and i dont know why, when i brake the car spun agan.. i lose more time... next i back for the track and try push harder... i catch The_beginning, pass me, next i catch ian pass, and kailera, in middle of this danny3l lap me too, but nice fight (again seems me and danny always in the fight, in f1c and rfactor), but back for the megane race, i do a little mistake, and danny and kailera pass me again... next i catch aboth again... and danny open the door, for me (nice one) and i go behind kailera, +6 but dont know whats up with him, he lose all distance, and i pass me... next danny catch me, and blue flag for me.. and penalty lol, and i press ESC and exit the game, with one lap more, and one more penalty bah"
B-izadfar: "Start was a bit slow, got passed by Night in turn 2 and Wes in turn 4 which was a nice move. Towards turn 9, got brake checked and Zunik had the best line for 9/10 and passed during turn 11. Chris passed me next lap in turn 1, going pretty downhill heh. After that it was a pretty fun stuff with Wes, Chris, and TJ till they came together. TJ and I avoided the mess and I pulled away a bit while TJ defended from Wes. Race was over/decided already by lap 7 for me I just coasted and took it easy here and there."
Trick: "I had a false start and was in the middle of the start crash. My car was messed up and had to be repaired which cost me 2 min in pit. After that I still had the drive-trough penalty, so before i had 1 lap done I was 3 laps down. (Not so much of interest) Nice to mention is that The_Beginning drove his first ever online race on exp level and he finished. A week ago he had never drove on exp level before."
Ricardo: "Got good start, *CENSORED* swerved left and hit me head on lonely race with bent car, got lapped finished."
Edwards: "Simple, Pole, good start, no battles for position, lap cars and finnish, boring for me sad.gif Shame BC got S/G from MM hitting him, could have had a good battle."
BlueChris (next time shorter please :D): "Well the race for me was great as matter the fights with most of the people.... there were great battles that huppened in my effort to go up in places. Unfortunately all started wrong when MM for some reason started before the starting lights... as i saw replay seemed to me like his gas stuck... or accidentally puted 1st.... the strange is that the gas stayed pressed and his car did a 180o spin.... i suppose he suprised also... Also even if he did this he sucrificed his race cause he pressed escape to get away from the guys that were coming and if he had stayed there there must be a mayhem. So grats to him even if he did an error. So i started and i was w8ting the S&G to be announced from server to me cause the hit from the back moved me a meter or so.... i was lucky and that didnt huppened but with ED we approached the T2 i was still thinking what huppened in start and i went wide.... and i came back 5th i think. Then i tried to push a bit to gain again the places i losted.... i knew that ED was untouchable so i was aiming for 2nd or at least in the podium. Eventually i managed to pass guys in front of me really fast but in the t3 WES kicked me hard from the back ... with the 1st i spinned and he sticked to the gas and hited me again. After that moment i went up 15th with all my front right side kicked and car was taking to the right in all the rest of the race. That show me the driving abilities of some people... cause in a race is not only to be fast but its more importand to have patience and good behavior, all this continued from me to the other drivers except him for the rest of the race. At least he could had w8ted me after he hited me which is a sportmanship behavior that we do many years now. Anyway the race went up almost smoothly till the end when i was reach the top guys and i was in 8th position behind Nightwalker, wes and zunik... i tried hard and with a atack move i passed night from inside and i aimed the other 2... i wanna thx night for his sportsmanship and overall i watched him during the race he is very good driver ... offcourse many are but i speak from what i saw. Now i reached wes & zunik.... from my hard trying i was doing constanly small mistakes... count also that the car was semiwrecked turning to the right... so in 23nd lap i reached really close to them. Unfortunately Zunik just before 3nd split he did a crazy spin and i ended up behind wes... in that moment i adapted my driving style to wes conditions (means i dont really care and im not carefull)... so i tryed to pass him in a crazy spot from the inside and i touched him a bit and he did a spin.. In specific we was in the hill in the left turn and his car slipped in the right and i tried to pass from left as i thoughted he will ended up in the grass to the right cause i suppose he show me in his mirrors. Offcourse i didnt said a sorry or w8ted simply cause i learned in my life to behave to others as the others behave to me. That was it... we finished like this.... even though night was gaining to me time cause i had ruined my tyres with all this effort to come ftom 15th to 5th and if there was 1-2 more laps i would had lost the place from him for sure. Overall was a great race... with the usual suspect disapearing in front ... as i see from times. I dont know what B-Izadfar has to say as matter him & ED but maybe he can put a report here. I wanna thx all the guys that we did fights... and honestly was a great race for me cause i tried hard to catch up the field..."
Mjanosh: "I want to express my public apology to night, i touch him very light in last sector, after he had a slow exit and i was faster a bit, im sure i didn't do damage to the car but i did make him loose some places. sry m8 wink.gif i did let u go after biggrin.gif my race was fine.. with few bumps and bruses but nothing badly so i had a good pace all the race.. was on my limit and had great fights with newty and doc and night and in the end i got to p4 5 sec behind TJ.. tryed to push very very hard and i close the gap to 2 sec, but there was not enough time to catch him as he was driving flatout without misstake."
Buatilla: "I was starting 11th had a quite good start but a was forced to made a big brake to avoid the verry bad start of Tygernoot (it was distracted by MM-BC incident) n after that a big mess came up . I was crash, throw , kick by almost all who came after me n i lose 20 + positions . After that i forced a lot my damaged car comin up without any major incident up to place 13. After the start crash maybee the hotest action i haved was in last lap when i catch AJ , almost pass him but i made a little error n instead of winning 1 more place i lost one to McMilan (touching his car by my misstake n letting him pass after)."
Tygernoot: "Well, as buatitla said I was very distracted by the weird MM/BC start situation. I dropped my revs at the start and therefore lacked a lot of acceleration. Then I was hit from behind in T2, spinning me into the gravel, causing me to drop a lot of places. I fought back to 7th position and tried for 5th when Zunik and Wes had a coming together in the slow hairpin and they both went wide. I saw the opportunity to overtake two people in one time and it seemed to work until I got hit from behind again when exiting the corner, making me spin and fall back to 9th position. Overall it was a fun race with a lot of action, just a shame for the hits as I didn't make any mistakes myself except for the bad start."
Snakey_UK: "main problems i encountered were at the start being back at p24 was gonna happen i guess, had good initial start but car in front of me was slow off the line and i had to lift and dodge to the left ,which at that point buatilla (read above he explains it) was in front of me spinning sideways so had to get on the brakes to avoid fatal crash, which then cause the people behind to panick and then i get tagged at the rear and then shortly after that cash was avoiding a spinning ricardoferrier and he chopped the front of my car sad.gif After watching replay cash had really no alternative and proberbly the same for the guy who tagged my rear, after that car was even harder to control and was quite slower than i had tested for rest of the race as the cars are hard enough without damage heat.gif so i just took it steady and made sure i stayed on track for rest of race being passed by various bad starters and not really challenging anyone. on the last lap apparently cash had clipped iron gr at turn 10-11 and left iron in the middle of the track unsighted to me and i ended up ramming him sad.gif whistle3.gif total wrecking my right front side and a puncture as well ohmy.gif but managed to wrestle the car across the finish line in 17th albiet being across the grass this.gif enjoyed it in the end but would of liked to have been faster as i bet most others drivers also wished lol,i cannot imagine the amount of drivers like at philip at the next track though sorry.gif "
McMilan: "My race was a bad one. First need to apologies to Tyger for 2nd corner mess, that spin drops both to 25th or so position. After I had solid run and take 11th place when made another stupidity and go off track (this time only me) and dropped again to 14th. Last lap was exciting fight with buattila and AJ for 12th."
Iron_gr: "*(00:08) Zunik hit me from behind. Can't imagine what he was thinking laugh.gif but... He let me pass, but damage has been done to my car sad.gif *(00:22) Don_Huio hit me hard from nowhere sad.gif (the saddest thing at that moment was Cash passed me crazy.gif ) *Then it was a battle. Cash closed the door always...! laugh.gif * (0:44) Bad moment with DJCruicky. Couldn't avoid it sad.gif Snakey right behind! Battles biggrin.gif He was so careful and kind! Gave me space always! Great! * (02:23) Montesky hit me. Bad and unacceptable! sad.gif * (02:40) The_begining blocked me as I lapped him. Bad.. sad.gif *Then battles with DJCruicky. He closed the doors. Couldn't pass and again Cash in front blocking me hard again. I almost hit him, but the brakes worked and it was OK! Then he spun and finally I passed him biggrin.gif But a terrible mistake from me at the end, big damage... and Cash finished me OFF!! What the heck he was thinking!! I was at the very left of the track, he could just pass me from the outside... crazy.gif I got confused and was typing "Caaaaaaash" and thought race was over, but it wasn't... I needed to pass the line. Snakey hit me very hard with full speed but it was my mistake as I parked in the middle of the track LOL!"

Schedule change!
Newsflash
League schedule change !
Just a short newsflash about a change in the schedule as it was put up initially.
As you might know the F1RST3 staff will visit the 24 hours of Spa where Sean Edwards will be running (and finishing we hope ;) ) in FIA GT2. What has that got to do with the schedule? Well, we have to set the server etc. for the League Race, so we need to be present at the day we run our League Race ;).
Beside that, many will visit races in real life and also compete in our League, so we thought it will be best to move the schedule slightly.
That's it. CU on track soon! Let's make it another great Season again!
