This time two small reports due to them being held within one week. The outcomes heated up the battles all over the Championships even more!
FUJI
As LRT was SO close to Team Don't Lift, some extra DL drivers were pressured to race again. That seemed to have effect, as the gap increased by Sean Edwards (who else? :P) winning, closely followed by LRT's topdriver and Championship leader Tygernoot but in third place DL-driver Timon Bolier. After the race even some conspiracy theories came up of LRT members blocking DL drivers and vice versa. The extra manpower of DL, McMilan and Stewart (yes, our racing photographer!) couldn't bring the so wanted extra points however. McMilan finished, but Stewart got 'killed' in another controversial start incident.

During the EXP race battles all over the place! Poor Veldt000 got between lapping Timon Bolier and catching up Locutus.
Don't Lift's big offensive caught up with LRT's veldt000 (middle) (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
The most spectacular battle for sure was between yours truely CasH and Zoneur. Lap by lap overtaking eachother at least once! Even a (this race) retired DL-member couldn't keep his eyes off :D.

SHANGHAI
This track brought again a nice grid. Don't Lift practiced all week to extend their lead over LRT. And it paid off! No news that Sean Edwards won again, but this time followed by only 0.332 seconds by his teammate/rival Timon Bolier. Edwards claimed afterwards 'I was just cruising'. Slap in the face of Timon, who was very anxious to win. Third place was taken from Tygernoot by B-Izadfar, who this round didn't sleep through his alarm clock :D.

With only 2 races to go, the big question is can Tygernoot clinch the title, or will Edwards beat him again? The difference now is only 102 points with still 200 points to win... We'll soon know!

Then the battles in AMA:
FUJI
Both Brazilians dominated the race yet again. This time Josémario_carvalho JUST beat his fellow contryman, but rival in Teams, Lulasenna by a very small margin of only 0.286 seconds! Ghost_Chr following at respectful distance.
At the back of the pack two Teammates finishing, thus scoring yet more points for Black Panda Racing: A_C_Muller and KIWI (yes, the driver older than CasH ;)). This team can still catch up some places in the rankings if all keep finishing this way!
Seems like Snakey_UK, second in AMA Championship, gave up as he didn't show this nor the following race. This way making it more than likely that Lulasenna will clinch his World Championship easier than expected.

Shanghai
AMA keeps unpredicktable! This time again Josémario_carvalho got the win, but followed by Boky and Ghost_Chr.
Poor KIWI lost it this time, leaving only A_C_Muller to score for the Team. However, still 2 races to go, so lots is still possible!
Team TWR is doing great as full AMA team, still able to catch EXP Team Ice Block F1. So all still open in that Championship as well!
josimario_carvalho won in AMA (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
Now lets hope our last 2 races of this exciting season will be as great as all before and MAYBE we'll see some close and amazing outcomes again, as lots is still to be decided! I have to admit, to end as spectacular as last real F1 will be hard to beat, but hé... we ALWAYS have spectacular races, unlike real F1 ;).

After our thirteenth race, the various rankings are as following:
EXP: Tygernoot (see full EXP rankings HERE).
AMA: LulaSenna (see full AMA rankings HERE).
Teams: Don't Lift (see full Teams rankings HERE).
Countries: Netherlands (see full Country rankings HERE).
Some matters of importance:
Thanks to Stewart for the ever amazing photo-reports!
Thanks to Rinker for the Video's!
As you might have heard or seen, we will 'soon' start our Porsche Super Cup 2008 Championship. Tygernoot is still working hard to get our new League system integrated in TYKA however.
We expect the League to start after our last MMG race, so be prepared and get all in! We promise you already VERY close racing and... prizes again ;).
To be continued... |

SHANGHAI
Heat EXP by Tygernoot: "I never really liked this track and that reflected in my starting position (7th). I didn't take a lot of risk at the start and kept my position. Ricardo was bumped onto the grass at the hairpin and Caner spun a few corners later, so I found myself in 5th at the end of the first lap. I started chasing Locutus but it was extremely difficult to get close and a gap of around one second was pretty constant. Ric was behind me and I knew he was on a 3-stop race. However, he didn't manage to get really close either and was followed by less than a second by buattila, so I didn't risk letting him past. Locutus made a mistake in the final corner with the high curbs and I passed him. Some laps later I made a mistake in the hairpin by hitting some curbs as well and we had a battle going side by side through most corners which was really exciting. In the end I stayed ahead but later made the same mistake as Locutus in the final corner and we switched positions again. Then finally Locutus spun in the first corner and this was the end of the battle. I had enough fuel to continue until the 20th lap for my first pitstop. My stop took 12s for some reason although the crew had been ready for 2 laps. They were probably sleeping. My tyres were a bit yellow in the end but holding out well enough for me to continue with the softs. Caner later came up behind me and we had a nice battle as well. In the end he was in my slipstream on the back straight with me on the inside. I braked a little bit too late, locked up my rear tyres and spun. This allowed Caner, Locutus and buattila to pass. I caught the latter after a few laps and on the back straight I braked early, but buattila was pretty slow through the corner and I hit him gently from behind. I waited for him to drive off and lost some time to Locutus. Later he had a broken front wing and I was ahead again. My second pit stop took 14 seconds as I had some minor damage and Caner followed me again. In the end he spun and I no longer had any pressure so I could take the car home in 4th position. It was quite a tough race but reasonably exciting. I made a few mistakes that I shouldn't have made, but I was never comfortable with my setup and just don't like the track. In any case I had some fun trying out my new steering wheel and 4th position was the best I could do this race."
Heat AMA by Rinker: "Well, this was not one of my best races this season, I started from 4th place, the start was very good, after turn 1 I was in second place, I did some steady lap times, the gap between Josimario who was leading the race was after 10 rounds 4 seconds, it was the same gap I had with Boky who was driving on 3rd position, at that point Boky decided to push I think, as he came closer every round that follows, I did not get the lap times I had with practice, maybe because of a little touch I had with the start, on lap 16 Boky passed me in turn 1 and in the end of that lap he had to pit, I could do one lap more so I tried to push as hard as I could.
But my pit stop was a mess, my limiter button did not response, it did after pressing it 3 times but then it was already too late, I got 17 seconds damage repair and also a 10 seconds Stop & Go penalty, after this penalty I found myself on 5th position, Ianstuart was in front of me but the gap between us was to big, I was faster but couldn’t close the gap enough in the few rounds we had to go. Concrat to the winners, special to Boky as I found him driving a very strong race!"
Heat AMA by A_C_Muller: "High hopes in China, the land of the PANDA! The steering of my vehicle was good but the top speed was lower then I had expected. Again I had to race alone so I had no excuses for my few errors. The double apex corner provided me with troubles & offs. The first 2 of 3 spins I experienced were my fault. The first spin, was in the "S" as I slammed on the gas a little too early on the exit. The second was while entering the double apex and I accidently shifted drown from 3rd to N and the back-end of the car spun out from under me. But, on one lap I went wide in the first turn and I knew I shouldn't touch the gas while driving over the grass...well I did and a spin ensued. Atleast my errors are limited to spins and are consistant from track to track. Now, we go onto the southern hemisphere for the second time. I do hope this PANDA has a better result (my fastest track) and not end up like in Australia!"
FUJI
Heat EXP by Tygernoot: "Starting from fourth I was in third position before the first corner as my teammate Ricardo jumped the start and spun on the grid. Sean and Timon were ahead and going a bit faster creating a small gap. After about 10 laps Timon had to run wide to take evasive action because of a backmarker and I was back on his tail. The next lap I managed to stay close and overtook him in the first corner. Unfortunately I was never able to create gap and he took his position back after the first stop as he had two extra laps of fuel in his car. The gap didn't grow too big in the second stint and since I had also put in extra fuel I still had some hopes of pulling the same trick on Timon for the second stop. In lap 42 the strategy didn't matter anymore as Timon collided with a backmarker and damaged his car. After the second stop Sean was around 20 seconds ahead and I had to settle for second which made the rest of the race a bit boring. At one point I was driving on the straight while looking at the HUD and saw the gap to Sean decreasing rapidly. I was only staring at the display instead of the track and suddenly saw the 100m sign flying by in the corner of my eye. I hit the brakes very late and spun my car, but without consequence. So in the end second place was better than I expected but it was a shame Timon had problems as we had some exciting battles." Heat AMA by Rinker: "Well, this was a strange race for me. I thought I did a good qualification with a 3rd place but Boky surprised us all to take pole in the last minute (well done m8), so I ended up in 4th place on the starting grid. Things went wrong as I arrived at the paddock just a few minutes before the start, I asked the Marshalls to wait 15 min. so I could settle down everything. I thought I was ready but I wasn’t, I was just too late to go to the starting grid in time, so I had to start from the pit again, stupid me. Waiting for the green light when everybody already started, what a waste of time, but in the first corner I already moved up1 position as Ianstuart was struggling to get out of the kitty litter. My car felt good, due the pitlane start I make some little changes to my wings settings and my rear toe, that way I could just drive steady lap times, well I thought so! But with these new settings I could not touch the curbs without a spun, and I make a few of those. My strategy was a 20/14 laps, but after 18 laps I had to pit, my car used more fuel than they had counted for me, I just quickly adjust my new fuel load while driving in the pitlane, it was a very fast stop, 7.2 seconds to take new tyres and fuel. My second run was somewhat better as the first one as I did not make any big mistakes now. After all I finished in 5th place. I thought I did a terrible race, lot of mistakes and I did not getting in the 1.14, while with practice I did, but comparing the lap times after the race, I did not so bad after all. All I had to do was just starting from the grid and a podium was in reach, so next time........... Concrat to all winners!
Heat AMA by KIWI: "After a long beach holiday, semi retirement, out came his momo wheel, minus the power pack :( lucky,on hand he had a backup gamepad to resume his racing. Pre Race: First race, meet up with A_C_Muller in f1rst,both tried to host,to no avail,we had to race alone, wishing each other breath there fumes, and cough...cough....dust Into the race: Twitch fingers, sweaty palm...minus Rinkers setup he lent, somehow I forgot to save it,lol. frankiclly usedd a stock setup, mechanics, pit crew, were all at odds and ends,to what fuel to put in,tyres to put on time was running short,so eventually tossed 68liters,hard tyres on. Off into the race,,car felt like my snail, towing an elephant,,rear felt lite, spun a few times,in different sectors, trying to find, rhythm and the best line...a few laps he did find the line and rhythm, but inconsistency, errors cost time in the rest of the race. eventually crossing the finish line, car in one piece,a few, scape's but the car held together, finishing the race. After race: Kiwi, known for finding party's and sense of direction ...found his way into BPR_PANDA function tent ,lucky his kiwi, black and white race suit, look very similar to BPR colours ,he didn't look out of place,as he made his way through the party (Pandas and bamboo),someone grab him, none other than (A_C_Muller,Team Captain) while he was pouring pink bubbly Panda juice .....a few drinks later and leaghty chats of free jet flights, zoo passes,as much bamboo as he could eat , and numerous other goods,he signed up...... Summary: well I finished the race on a stock setup,Yes Rinker,I forgot to save the one you left lol, most important : My First POINTS"
Heat AMA by A_C_Muller: "The Monza of the Orient "Fuji" was very good to this Panda in two respects! Firstly, due to other league deadlines I had to race alone. As I have raced this course earlier in the year, I was prepared for Fuji. My race was nearly perfect in the sense that I never ran off the course, didn't hit anything and kept all my original car parts. I did overshoot my pit and I had to back-up a little. Sorry guys for the scare and possibly running over some toes. I spun two times on the course both times in the chicane. The first was on the entrance when I slammed on the gas a little too early. The second time I was going so fast that I went far to the left with my left side tires on the grass and, ahhh! I figure I lost a huge 30 seconds due to these errors on my behalf. The good aspect was a new team mate was signed up "TKR_Kiwi" & we now proceed to China - The Home of The PANDA!"

The battle is heating up between drivers and especially Teams!
A lot of jostling on lap 1 of the expert race (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
Lowland Racing Team closed in to a minor 7 points to the powerful Don't Lift Team... Sure, Sean missed some races (well, what is more important? :P) and DL hasn't that faithful members and the ones that are, seem to 'Don't Lift' a bit too much lately, crashing either by themselves or even eachother. Not complaining here as TC of LRT :P:D. Rumours now even spread that the DL-TC is trying to bribe fast LRT-members to join DL! How desperate can one get, or is it just fear? :P:D.
Team Don't Lift had a great qualy but a troubled race (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
Like said, LRT did a great job, all finishing this time. The only luxury problem was which LRT driver to finish in best position (after the unbeatable Sean Edwards, who started in 14th position(!) of course).
Edwards didn't let grid P14 bother him (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
TC LRT didn't give Team orders, therefore a close finish for Tygernoot and Ricardoferreira (one of his first finishes for LRT!).

In AMA the ever fast Brazilians this time ran into bad luck, giving the top positions to their rivals and rival Teams. The one taking maximum benefit from this situation were Snakey_UK, taking home victory, followed by Rinker and Ghost_Chr. Ianstuart JUST missing podium. Great effort however!
Snakey_Uk hounded ghost_chr to retake the lead (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
Some AMA drivers had to race alone, due to several circumstances. One of them, NMansell, managed to even take pictures during his race. This causing him to spin several times, and by that, giving his position to his rival A_C_Muller.
Despite this moment NMansell still managed points in AMA (Click image to enlarge!) © NMansellRACINGIMAGES(ok, ok, bit artwork from Stewart as well ;) )
The win of Snakey_UK brought his Team World Racing in even closer battle with Ice Block F1, with a gap of only 8 points!

Compliments to our AMA drivers, as ALL reports I got ONLY came from them! So next time some EXP reports as well again please!
Heat AMA by NMansell:
"It was quiet, sunny morning here at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza but suddenly this quiet was broken when from the pit lane the sound of a Toyota 2.4 Litre V8 erupted from the back of the Williams FW26. It was time for my solo race - a 27 lap race with no slipstream from other competitors and (technically) starting 30 seconds behind my competitors.
"The 5 lights went out and the Williams-Toyota FW26 launch control set the car in motion to start the 156.411km race. The first 5-8 laps went without a hitch doing some steady (not quick) time but suddenly I started to suffer with some horrific understeer. So I checked my front tyre temperatures and they were off the scale. At my one and only pit stop I decided to adjust the pressures and the front wing but whilst I was busy doing that I forgot to keep my eyes on the road. My times deteriorated drastically - from being in the late 1:24's early 1:25's they were 1:35s to 1:40s.
"My Williams pit stop team did a great job in getting me in and out in under 9s and suddenly the car felt more alive. Personal best lap of 1:24.3950 came on lap 16, just 2 laps after my pit stop but this is when concentration began to wander. I hadn't driven a league race since early May and it was beginning to show.
"A couple of half spins at the Variante della Roggia and then a full 360 degree spin on lap 22 at exit of Lesmo 2 were just the beginning of my problems. A crash into the wall at the exit of Curva di Lesmos 1 with only 2 laps from the end damaged my front right wheel and lost my front wing - A souvenir for the hard working marshalls!!
"If there's one driver in Tyka/F1RST3 who can bring home a damaged vehicle - it me!! 10th out of 11 is pretty poor so hopefully the trip to Asia will bring me some good luck."
Heat AMA by Rinker:
"I had to start from the 6th place on the grid, even with a lot of practice I couldn’t find a good setup, so my qualifying time was not very impressive, however, the day before the race I did find some minor changes what gives me better lap times, I also tried to give my car a good balance.
I had a good start, I must however avoid Kuschall as he stand still after a false start, I knew exactly where to brake with cold tires, so turn 1 was no trouble for me it even gave me some places, I came out as second. In front I had josimario_carvalho who has taking the lead, the next turn he braked to late, when he came on track I had to brake and go of my racing line to avoid him, this gives ghost_chr the opportunity to pas me, but the next corner he was going wide (after a very little kiss from me I believe, sorry for that m8) and I took my second place back.
In Ascari josimario_carvalho made another mistake, and again I had to avoid him, only now I had a lot more speed and due the cornering I saw him very late, also Snakey_UK, who was just behind me, was surprised to see josimario_carvalho suddenly in front of him, we both going wide and when we are back on track I got a little push from behind which threw me against josimario_carvalho who was just recovering and driving next to me, and that hit put him into the wall, I had the luck that my car was very well balanced, and was driving very stable. I continue as leader of the race, but not for long, ghost_chr on top speed, not delayed by that accident passed Snakey_UK and me easy and taking the lead. After one round driving in second place I also made a little mistake, just enough to switch place with Snakey_UK. It seems they both where faster than me on this moment, also close racing was difficult for me as my braking points where different then of them. But after a few laps I was closing in, my car felt wonderful. ghost_chr made a mistake and Snakey_UK took the lead with me in second place. Halfway the race I was pushing a little too hard in Parabolica and while I’m struggling trough the kitty lither ghost_chr took second place again, but after one lap he spun in Lesmos and give second place back to me, I did my stop on lap 17, everyone else already has made a stop then. Even with 17sec extra time for damage repair (I haven’t notice anything while racing) I came out of pit in second place with ghost_chr just behind me, he did tried to overtake me sometimes, but I think my car was better on that moment and I could slowly drive away from him, and after another spun from him my second place was secure, Snakey_UK was 10 seconds in front of me but we where droving same lap times so the gap between us stays till the end. I think I did a very good race, started from 6th place and finished in 2nd. See ya all next race!"
Heat AMA by A_C_Muller:
"This Panda must of slipped on some pasta, as I could of finished one place higher in the final results. I didn't have, ask or get a set-up for this race so I had to use a previous tracks. It was good but not ideal until I tried something else and it was a hair faster. I had to race alone as neither NMansell or I could join each others race room. My race was going good, until I slammed on the gas a little too early before the long back stretch. I did a 180 degree spin, while sliding down the track and I hit the armco barrier with my cars left side. I lost a good 15 seconds for sure, but...with the front left suspension bent and rear wing damaged all my turns to the right were effortless. Due to the damage, I even put in my fastest lap time that was for the second time the third slowest and not thee slowest - yes! The three turns to the left were loose but I made up for it on the straights. This Panda now looks forward to Fuji, Japan where I refer to the track as the Monza of the Orient!" |

THE most spectacular track and race in the world! After our Team visiting Sean Edwards (see previous news) there, we of course were extra excited to see and join the races in our League!
Qualify EXP was pretty close all over the heat, except for Edwards having a gap of over half a second to second placed man Ricardoferreira. Don't feel ashamed Ric, Sean practiced over a week there! We have proof ;).
ricardoferreira powers round Blanchimont to go P2 in qualy (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
The race itself was a hard one, looking at the results. Of course Sean led the pack from start, but behind him all kinds of action took place! Many, believing to have a good finish, came to different conclusions during the fierce battles all over the field! Ricardoferreira had to give up being in second place, with a blown engine. Yours truely was hoping for about 4th place, until 3 laps before the finish, JUST after Eau Rouge, a huge cloud of smoke arose in front, with no car visible. Braking and hoping there was no car somewhere in the mist, disaster struck for both me and Frozen. He appeared out of the smoke, too late to be avoided by poor CasH. All this giving even more hope for the guys chasing.
Frozen loses it at Eau Rouge and collects CasH (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
After also Tygernoot, in second place, being distracted by his ringing cellphone (WTF? Which driver has his cellphone near when driving such important race?!?!), crashed, limping back the last laps, this gave way for Avni_Tumay and Zunik to score BIG after being in pretty modest positions at the start of the race.
zunik bagged third for Serviola Spanish Team (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
The Championship battle between Tygernoot and Edwards was taken to the extreme here. Tygernoot, after his phone stunt, limping back one lap down, was glad to have to do one lap less on three wheels. Brilliant Edwards however knew Tygernoot would still be second, so stopped before the finish line, to force Tygernoot do do another lap! Thus 'giving' Tygernoot 4th instead of second position. |
I can tell you the LRT Captain was not pleased about this!
Edwards had plenty of time in hand at the end (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
The AMA Race was again a mainly Brazilian matter.
Pole in Qualify again for Lulasenna and in the race, his fellow countryman Josimario_carvalho joined him on the podium in second place.
LulaSenna pulls out a lead on lap 1 (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
Snakey_UK took 3rd, while Belgian 'Home driver' Kuschall JUST missed the podium, finishing in a good 4th position! Must be a good feeling on your home track!

Due to the difficulty of the track and of course her persistance to get a great result, A_C_Muller got her best result ever, finishing 7th. Of course helped by the talisman given to her a few days before the race :).

Race Reports, AMA movie by Ghost_Chr below!
Heat EXP; by Ricardoferreira: "I had a great start, but Juan and u pass me easily (no top speed), when Juan spun, i lose few seconds there, too avoid crash and lose the P2 too casel and P3 too MJ. But my setup is very good in 2 and 3 Sectors, but in Sector 1, no top speed, so i can´t pass Casel or MJ in S1.. 2 laps later Casel crash, and i pass MJ. Anyway.. good race for me (seems my best times in F1C\AMA very consistency and fast) shame i lose some time behind some people, but alone i do nice laps, and the fasted lap.. shame engine blow when i change the boost to 3 wierd .. TEMP 90º i don't understood why that happen.. Shame Juan spun and crash too, should be a great fight for 2 place! So sad, should be a great result for LRT, Tyger stop&go, CasH crash in lap 41\44 and me 39\44 engine blow :("
Heat EXP; by Avni_Tumay: "A good launch braked in time into turn 1. I got hit from someone behind which in result gave me a bent wishbone. It was an interesting race since the Pitstops didn't work this time. Many drivers loosing concentration was a bonus for me since I moved up a fair bit of positions. I also had lost the car a few times coming to the new bus stop chicane. I was worried on the last few laps since other drivers had engine problems, the team principal suggested to take it easy since Zunik was far back behind. My first podium finish overall coming second. Many thanks to my team for the good last minute work we put in before the race. Good luck to all drivers at Monza."
Heat EXP; by Zunik: "Finally I could race again on server. It has been a tough year to race on F1rst3 as I have been often away and lately had internet probs. I was working during the whole Weekend (that's why qualed Thursday) so I wouldn't be in best shape for race. Actually I was destroyed as I couldn't sleep much the days before. So I decided to take it easy and let pass anyone who seemed to have a better rythm. Start was a bit chaotic, so I took completely the outside, escaping from any trouble. I got passed fast by some cars (let CasH pass in Eau Rouge) and I was just trying to finish the race. I did some tiny errors (kissed slightly the wall sideways) so took it easy all the time. I started loosing positions, but not much later after first 5 laps or so DNF's started. Whole race was keeping the car on the tarmac on a slow rythm and reading who was next to DNF. Not much left of the race, Frozen and CasH DNF'ed, and 2 laps from finish Tyger needed big repairs. Not very sportsman was Edwards behaviour who stopped before finish line to let everybody pass Tyger! Well I actually used that advantage to get my most undeserved podium in F1rst3!!! See you in Monza where I'll have to race alone again (most probable)."
Heat AMA; by Lulasenna: "... SPA, Belgium... my favorite track dream, i made perfect race with starts very clean and fast... Run almost alone and i saw the GAP about others by control... Just do it race clean and soft... Great see my brazilian friend Josimario in 2place and my team mate Snakey finished in 3place... Weldone!!!!..." |

Due to private circumstances a late and short one, for which apologies.
I'll stick to some (again amazing) shots from our races and of course the Race Reports by you guys (and girls, yes!).
I did however add some extra about our own Sean Edwards, who we visited again at Spa. Hope you like it!
The race. Heat EXP started in turn 2 with a massive looking crash, caused by failing equipment of yours truely :O.

Sean Edwards, looking for yet another win here, got into trouble as well and had to settle for just a finish this time. Must have felt so embarrassing to be slower on track than some old CasH who, after T2, obviously had a crippled car as well. Poor Sean (NOT :D).

This time the fastest guy on track remained unscarved and did his first win in our F1RST3/TYKA League: Ali_Burkay. Great result!

In AMA all was pretty more exp this time ;). Well done guys!
For the first time Ianstuart finished on the podium in thrird place! A great result for the English driver! |

We were used to many Brazilian drivers (and podium candidates), however this time only Josimario_Carvalho joined. But he did as expected, taking second place!

The winner however was the ever fast Snakey_UK, who scored maximum points for his Team World Racing and England this time. Congrats!

Race Reports (AND movie/impressions Edwards/Spa below!)
Heat EXP; by Tygernoot: "I started from 8th position, but found myself in 5th after the first corner and in 4th after the second. Then Sean decided to take a pause at the end of the first lap, so I was up to 3rd. Unfortunately I hit the wrong curb and lost a position to Frozen again. Frozen decided it wasn't fair and made a mistake to give me back my position. I had a nice battle with Locutus in the second lap, but while braking for T2 I slided a bit and we touched. What Locutus couldn't see was that we touched because I slided instead of the other way around, so he waited for me which was very kind of him :). Then I started chasing Timon and we were having a close battle. Around lap 16 we had to lap Sean - something that doesn't happen often... He played the team role however and put himself between me and Timon. Unfortunately I had to brake hard to avoid Sean, hit a bit of grass and spun. This caused B-Izadfar and me to have a battle for a few corners and was able to overtake me. After my first pitstop I found myself behind my (lapped) team mate Bryan. I guess he didn't look in his mirrors hard enough to see me wave like a mad man and screaming 'let me pass!'. After one lap being stuck I forced my way through. No doubt Cash will have a fierce talk about blocking your own team members. Lap 27 I was chasing Timon again and was able to overtake him this time. In my second stint I had lost some valuable time and after the second stop I was again behind the Don't Lifter. We had an exciting battle for a few laps, passing each other multiple times. Finally Timon stayed ahead and he seemed a lot faster in the final stint so I had more trouble keeping close. On lap 50 there was a little scare while lapping MJ as he let go off the throttle in the middle of the corner, but fortunately everything went ok. I was pushing hard to stay close to Timon but I never managed to attempt any overtaking manoeuver. The climax of the race came on the final lap in the final corner when my engine exploded and I strolled over the finish line at 10km/h. It was a great race and it could have been a lot worse than 4th place, although I might have been on the podium had the race worked out."
Heat EXP; by Avni_Tumay: "I had a great start coming to turn 1, very clean from all drivers I did see Ricardo in the sandpit but making it safely out.As we approach turn 2 it began, I was hit from behind because of lag which put my front end into the wall leaving me in the sandpit with no nosecone. After getting it repaired I got a stop go penalty for speeding in the pits. I was then battling with Cash until he made an error allowing me to pass him. The team boss suggestion was to drive strong, and get in front of MJanosh. So I did making it in front of him. A few laps to go and I was 5 seconds behind Ricardo. Luckily finished with not much drama. I’d like to thank my team for their hard work. Ice Block F1 sure did well at Australia and will continue strong."
Heat AMA; by Rinker: "I started from pole position this race, it was the first time for me this season so I was very happy with this result, even a double win is in reach now . But things are not always go as wanted, I was a little happy that we must do a restart due a server crash, because I got hit three times in first lap that brought me to last position (again.) just before lap two. Second start was good, well for me, as nobody hits me this time, after turn 1 and 2 I felt my car had a lot of oversteer, I really don't know why? And on turn 3 I lost him, also braking somewhat late, I could not get of my place very quick, I think someone have put some very strong glue on those curbs. Luckily no one hit me and all passed fine, for me I had to race from the back again but this time it was my own fault, well part of it I guess(I still don't know where the oversteer is coming from, I don't had it in practice) . I could not push very hard due the oversteer problem, but after 8 laps I was on second position, 20 seconds behind Snakey_UK ( who has done a very good race), I decided not to take any risk, 20 seconds is a lot with a oversteer problem, so I tried to hold second place, that must not give any problems and it gives me also a nice place on the podium. Everything went fine from here, the pit stop was fast and I did some constant lap times, until lap 21, where I found a slow panda (with problems I think) in my way on the fast turn 11, I expected she would moved to the right, but she didn't and I crashed into her back and I lost my front wing, this accident cost my podium place as I had to pit for 40 seconds or so, and with this extra pit stop I also got a drive true penalty, the remaining laps where not enough to get me back on the podium. A weekend with mixed feelings! On to the next race..."
Heat AMA; by A_C_Muller: "Australia was not kind to this Panda! I decided to debut my customized helmet in the land down under so it wasn't a total loss. With a mere 11 qualifiers and no other league race schedule conflicts, this was the second mass race I took part in since Spain. At the start the race was good for the first 6 laps, then game disconected and some time elapsed before a re-start. Good thing too as, I slapped the left side of my car on the first lap with it making wide right hand turns. Well, the second time around wasn't much better. Though I did manage to go half way through the race before repeating history again I had Rinker all in my mirrors. Thanks to him as he was hot all over my exhaust his chasing me, helped me to put in my fastest lap. After barely starting lap 23, my Panda Powered BPR's Brembo brake pads failed. I went off at the second high speed braking area and rocketed through the kitty litter and slammed head on into the cement barrier. According to my graphics, both my front wheels were on - but I don't think they could of survived such a hit. Once I got out, onto the asphalt I had no steering what-so-ever. A GIANT HUG & KISS to Josimario_Carvalho of UK Racing for showing me true Sportsmanship! He helped nudge, bump, bang, edge and point my demolished F1 car around the remaining corners so that I could drive down the front stretch while grinding off all the sponsors logos on the outside wall. I ground to a halt at the end of the front stretch 6 laps down...Hey, it's better then a DNF & 0 points! This Panda prefers the tracks in the Northern Hemisphere!" |

Impressions TYKA/LRT visiting Sean Edwards at Spa for his Porsche Super Cup 2008 race.
Sean's lap filmed from pitwall!
As you all know the TYKA/LRT crew visited Sean at Spa again. This time for his PSC race which, as all know by now, Sean won! Yes, with some 'convincing' from my side to Jeroen Bleekemolen, the current PSC Champion (see my YouTube movies for proof ;)). I'd like to thank Sean and his Team for again their great efforts for making it yet another unforgettable weekend! More pics and movies in our Forumthread HERE And check all my YouTube video's HERE (watch high quality!) Due to private circumstances still lots to be added, so check back or bookmark it for more later. |

Hungary results AND... TYKA SE! |

| Results and.... more! |

After a brake (holiday and lazy real F1) we go towards our next race this weekend, so time for news about the previous round: Hungary. Ethnically crowded with Panda's I heard :P. Again 30 cars qualified, but due to some problems we had to split unfortunately (you can still mail complaints to Tygernoot for moving the server and going on holiday; we'll beat him up at Spa ;) ).

One of the contesters this time was Sean Edwards again, who needed a week of practice in some crappy Porsche (partly writing it off in real life, hehehe). It paid off however as again he won this race in EXP class. Easy for him as his PSC race was over soon, so plenty of time left for the real race here ;).

Sean's win and MJanosh finishing 4th in EXP provided at least some points for the pretty abandoned Don't Lift Team. Good for them, as Lowland Racing Team (LRT) now scored less, due to the holiday of our Topdriver Tygernoot (I'm now actually wondering if he WAS on holiday or just ran scared after the servermove and left poor Veldt000 and me to get ourselves beaten up by you guys complaining :P:D).
With Tygernoot away, LRT only scored now by the old, reliable ones: CasH, Veldt000 (well, reliable :P) and Bryan in 5th, 6th and 10th place. Poor Veldt000 claiming to let CasH win... the truth was CasH took it easy to finish, but got sick of the idea Veldt000 'backing' (read: take out) CasH, so at the end CasH decided to really race and did a second per lap faster, leaving Veldt000 at respectable distance (and more important: not endangering anybody this time ;) ). Rumours go that Don't Lift got scared by the threat of LRT in 2nd place, they even asked TJBolier (who retired for a while) to return ASAP (or get sacked :P), but unfortunately for them Timon DNF-ed.

Again our Turkish friends did very well, even without their top man Ali_Burkay, as Caner_Basol finished in 3rd place and SametSenturk in 9th! Well done! Their Prof1tr Team will be a team to reckon with...
This brings us to our well fought AMA League. Hungary seemed friendly to Dutch drivers, as in this class Rinker scored good points for Holland, claiming 5th place. Well done Rinker! Now on to the podium next one! I wonder where his son Sander_n is lately. He was AMA Champion at the age of 12! Get him back (read: buy the poor kid his G25 :P) and let him prove he is not too old now to beat the rest :).
Rinker bagged serious points again in AMA (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES
The win in AMA this time was a bit of a surprise. Not the usual Felipe[BR] got it yet again, he had to settle for 3rd place, but the very competitive MichaelSchumacher! LulaSenna couldn't repeat the trick from Hockenheim, so he finished 2nd.
Much needed AMA win for MichaelSchumacher (Click image to enlarge!) © StewartRACINGIMAGES

Race Reports, AND NEWS below!
Heat EXP; by B-Izadfar: "I had a pretty crap start going too deep into turn 1. I finished lap 1 in P3 with MJanosh infront and Caner really close behind me. I kept making small mistakes in turn 3, going wide in turn 4, & sliding too much this stint, and therefore the two DL guys infront made a quick easy gap already with Caner putting pressure while only a few tenths behind me. 1st stop came for me on Lap 25, and I think was already around 9seconds behind Edwards. I ran out of fuel coming into the last few turns before my pitstop and coasted to the pitbox. On top of that the pitstop itself was a shit 15second one. So I lost a valuable 12 or seconds and MJ was able to maintain P2. I just made the plan to get P2 back as that was all that is really possible and managed to do that. I had again a crap 2nd pitstop and spun once in the t6/t7 chicane in the final stint. Our pace wasn't bad, my 1st stint, both pitstops, tyre longevity, miscalculation cost us a lot on this round. Look forward to next race (home race!) Big credit to Admin for allowing race and handling server situation, sometimes umplanned major technical issues happen."
Heat AMA; by A_C_Muller: "As this was the third try for me at the Hugaroring, this Panda was hoping that "third times the charm"! I started out with a two pit stop strategy that helped me out at another league. Too bad I was so busy watching the back end of Rinkers car, waiting for it to go off track that I hit a wall. Again I lost another front wing, but never have I done this on the opening lap. I was getting very good gas mileage as I had set it for 12 and did 15 but could of stretched it to 16. Luckily I didn't as my tires and there grip were letting go as each lap was completed. My steering felt good and the brakes did their job. From exiting the pits my Panda Powered car was acting like it were on rails by the end it was like a rally raid in the rain. Without any on screen info as to what lap I was on i came in on laps no.2 for a new front wing, lap no.17 as my first pit stop and then on lap no.32 to find out that I was done one lap later. To me it felt like a mere 26 laps had elapsed, but no. This Panda hopes that the southern hemisphere will provide more grip with respect to tires!".
Heat AMA; by Ghost_GR: "Hungary was my best race since I joined MMG. Not necessarily spectacular, but I achieved a great result. In qualifying I only managed to get position 11 out of 16, at the end of a 7 driver group with times between 1:19:088(iron_gr) - 1:20.050(myself). I knew that I will have to push hard in order to get past some of those close drivers in front of me. The race was very surprising. I was | | | | |
