The championship decider in Suzuka... Edwards needs victory and MaxMotus to suffer some gremlins... time will tell during this double length event around the sweeping F1 circuit! Pole position was very close indeed with only a tenth or so seperarting the top 3. Edwards doing everything possible to take the championship with pole ahead of the returning MJanosh and MaxMotus in 3rd! Edwards led away from the start with Doctor-Q making a great start and into second and MaxMotus following closely. MaxMotus slipped breifly into 2nd before spinning to the tail of the field before the end of lap1. Edwards was in a good position now pulling away slowly from Doctor-Q. Jlittlejohn crashed out early in the race at T1 after out braking himself while chasing down MJanosh! As Edwards continued to lead throught the pitstops MaxMotus was moving up the field to eventually take second from Doctor-Q. Edwards had nothing left and all he could hope for was mechanical failure or a crash for Motus. However MaxMotus wanted to end the season in style and chased down Edwards to take the lead after about 1hour 20mins. This left Edwards to follow him home over the last 3laps.. Doctor-Q and MJanosh had a bruising battle to finish out the race! AMA was won by Snakey_UK from Art-Tech-Uk. PCC Round 10 Suzuka - Japan. The championship has now moved over the water to Malaysia and the Sepang F1 circuit, just outside KL. The Teams and drivers have been on the usual promo tours in the local area - Photos to follow! MaxMotus took pole position from Doctor-Q and Edwards, while JLJ returned after his car was rebuilt. And the usual Aussie effort expanded to include Red-5. The race went well for Edwards who managed to take vistory, while MaxMotus spun in the same place twice although managing to slip home ahead of Doctor-Q. Roachman snatch 4th from the returning JLJ who finished 5th. Meanwhile Red-5 crashed out on his debut! Mike_Napp also joined the series and came home a respectable 7th ahead of Zinner! Well done guys! AMA race saw MJanosh returning but with a development steering system after failure in Australia. It clearly worked well as he assumed victory ahead of Snakey and Art-Tech-Uk. Round 8 and the championship hots up as we move over to the final section of the championship in Australia. The Phillip Island circuit offers a chance for the GT3 Porka's to hit hight speeds not only on the straights but also in the long sweeping turns... MJanosh was on form snatching pole from Doctor-Q by over half a second! MaxMotus and Edwards both trying to out do each other in qualifying left it seconds to late and had to start from the back of the grid!! Batman, Roachman and Zinner all showing form on there home circuit! Edwards made a brillaint start sliding past Doc-Q at the start to take the lead. MJanosh missing due to steering failure in warmup had left MaxMotus to scrap it out with Doctor-Q while Edwards got his pedal down to build up a lead! Doctor-Q put an amazing fight to fend off currnet Mini League champion, which resulted in MaxMotus skidding off into the bank at T2. This miss fortune had caused MaxMotus sharpen his horns and make chase. Lap after Lap the gap was reduce to Doctor-Q who was also closing down Edwards who had cooked his tyres at 3/4 disatnce. With 2 laps to go the 3 cars were bumper to bumper! As the cars entered ended the last but lap Edwards spun allowing MaxMotus to take victory ahead of Doctor-Q. The home effort of Zinner, Batman and Shadowfire filling the top six to the joy of the home crowd! AMA was unfortunatly a one horse race for Art-Tech-Uk to take the honours! Zolder, former home of the Belguim GP and the circuit at which the Great Gilles Villenurve lost his life. Zolder brought a challange of fast curves and twisty chicanes which make the GT3 a little tricky! Qualifying saw MJanosh pipped to the post by MaxMotus and Edwards filling the top 3. Kubus then headed Jlittlejohn and the Australian entry of SHadowfire, Batman and Zinner! The rest then hit by chicane cuts.. tut tut guys haha! Over in AMA only 2 qualifyers this week with Art Tech UK taking pole from [F1NA]gbriden. The EXP race was led from start to almost finish by MJanosh after me made an amazing start and led the battling duo of Edwards and MaxMotus, points being very important with these guys! With Mjanosh choosing a none stop stratagy he extended his lead, however in the closing stages his tyres went away very quickly and his lead was reduced to nothing by the time the last lap started. MaxMotus now in second after putting a move on Edwards that stuck was chasing hard. MaxMotus sent MJ a dummy on the last lap and dived for the inside as the door was firmly closed at the same time.. Mirrors were smashed and dorr handles jammed! MaxMotus emerged in the lead while MJanosh scrambled back in the right direction and Edwards got the run and also slipped past moments from the end! Doctor-Q , Roachman and Batman all had blinding races to climb up the order and improve on there qualifying positions. Doctor-Q climbing the most positions, well done! Gsom taking the final finishing place ahead of a long list or retirements! over in AMA, the usual Madman_CZ, EL_supremo didn't show so it was upto Art-Tech-Uk to take the honours, Well done! After a superb round of racing in Germany, we have now moved over too France to Bernies home circuit of Paul Ricard. This former host of the French Grand Prix has definitly allowed the GT3's to stretch there legs on these long straights! Qualifying saw the 2 main title contenders of MaxMotus and Edwards come very close, but hey stepped out ahead of the rest of the pack, lead by Doctor-Q AMA quali saw Madman CZ popping it on pole ahead of EL Supremo and styckis, while a few others including NicolaBR put up a fighting effort! In EXP, Edwards showed dominating form like by taking victory by some 50 seconds after MaxMotus had suffer a wall rubbing experience. Even loosing some handful of seconds a lap still managing to hang on to second place at the flag! Doctor-Q filled the final podium place. While over in AMA, Madman_CZ wipped EL_supremo into second followed closely home by Styckis. JohnSargent pipped NicolaBR for 4th at the finish! PCC Round 6 Paul Ricard - France. The Ochers round of the PCC league again proved exciting and eventful. Good turn out in EXP in the end with a host of very welcome and New drivers joining this exciting new League! AMA missed Regular drive EL Supremo which has allowed Madman to gain valuable points in the race for the championship! In EXP Doctor-Q had another consistent finsh just missing the podium, however he has no moved infront of Jlittlejohn to take 3rd in the points standings! EXP Qualifying was awsome with Mrk setting stunning pole position to head MaxMotus by a narrow 0.008! However Oschers proved very close for Qualifying with the top 6 six covered by only 0.300! The racing was bound to be close! Mrk Lead away the race in TZB H1 but after being put under heavy preasure by MaxMotus and Doctor-Q (quick) MaxMotus slipped by and Mrk lite up the rears to give chase and slid off. Doctor-Q and MJanosh managed a hard fight with MJanosh taking second place ahead of former championship leader and double race winner Edwards. DJ Cruicky was running well when he unfortunatly fell over a back marker causing him to suffer a small role! However he managed to limp home just behind the Rocket Roachman! Our other contenders from OZ, Batman and Zinner had eventful races. Batman blessed with a loose wheel and crashing out. While Zinner brought it home in a respectable 9th place! Home grown driver Gsomm had a good finish landing home in 8th at his home event pleasing the crowd with some donuts after the finish line! Great stuff! New boys Kubus and Chacal drove well with Kubus running well until a untimely extra pitstop. While Chacal and SidewaysFast entertained the crowd with there antics... Meanwhile Mike Nap was still at the airport and only managed a hand full of test laps once he arrived... I blame his mum, for packing his lunch late! AMA was missing the championship leader EL_Supremo and this allowed Madman_CZ to get within 7 points ready for the final half the season! The fight for second in the championship is eqaully strong with only 2 points separating John Sargant and Styckis! Aley came home with another improving finish after the time keepers lost his transponder! As we now move to R-Sponge's home race he will no doubt be hoping to show these Guys round! Finally PCC League has been able to move from Toronto and into Europe ready for Oscherslabien. We all at F1RST-2 thank you for your support during that difficult time! However even through all that, the AMA field held its biggest grid of the season and we hope to see you all out in Oschers. Well done guys & Thank you! EXP was taken by storm with Roachman and Batman setting some great times and making a bid for podium positions! Keep your eyes on those guys in Oschers! DOC-Q managed to slip just infront of DJ Cruicky while MJanosh posted some quick times here in Toronto but failed to deliver in the race, he will definitly be one to watch for victory in Oschers! Mrk showed his speed again while leading TZB H1 until a brush with the wall eliminated him, jlittlejohn also suffering at the hands of the unforgiving concrete! Gsomm drove a steady race with some good laptimes to bring home a consistent finish ahead of some regular front runners - Well done! Laguna became a race of who can make the least mistakes in in EXP, jlittlejohn made a great start and jumped Edwards, however when MaxMotus made a slight mistake it allowed him to lead intill popping into the pits to find his team had downed tools! Edwards took victory from a close following MaxMotus. While Roachman finished a solid 5th, he managed to pip a battling mrk and Mjanosh home. Also the Title of fastest Pizza Delivery driver went to Triko who managed to slip ahead of Buz1980. AMA showed EL_Supremo being beaten by Madman_CZ even though EL had Fastest lap by almost one second. While Styckis was blessed with a flat battery on the line. John Sargant popped in to finish 3rd behind EL Supremo with a shining effort! For the next round we move onto the Canadian Toronto circuit. Assen showed off some more highs and low's for the PCC runners in round 2. EXP saw jlittlejohn steel the show when MaxMotus locked up at T1 and went off. jlittlejohn never looked back dominating Edwards through the rest of the race aside from fending off his mother and spending a little extra time in the pits! Doc Q had a trouble free run after DJ Cruicky was chav-raided on lap 1 (Officials investigate further...) and MaxMotus spun a second time battling with Cruicky. Another major flyer in Assen was Yiannis HGT who dropped in a third position time to show he is a force to consider in Laguna.. mrk kept it on the black stuff in Assen to bring home the next batch of runners in EXP including MJanosh from XFR and Snail Team Colonge's speed-jogy. AMA proved a little more fruitful with EL_Supremo battling it out with Madman_CZ who set AMA Fastest lap. While Styckis suffered a somewhat dissappointing race in his chase of EL_Supremo in the championship standings For the next round we move onto the World Famous circuit of Laguna Seca. After the delay in starting the league, we finally got off too some great action at Brands hatch! Edwards drove a stunning race behind MaxMotus, but then took a late charge and snatched victory with a few laps to go... Killing attack slipped home with a good run for 3rd, while the ever improving Doc Q came home 4th, ahead of Yiannis HGT. Pole sitter mrk's race didn't last long after a slip into gravel followed by a small crash later which finished his race early! AMA saw victory for El supremo followed very closely by Styckis, hopefully next round we will see more action from the AMA boys after a few of them were still in the Kentagon when the lights went out... The Season starts at Brands Hatch and Qualifying is now open and finshes Tuesday night, so start testing!
