We have come to the last round of the PCC Summer Championship and all the teams/drivers were busy testing at the Nordschliefe in the depths of Germany! But there was a horrific accident involving championship contenders Locutus and Martinwcox in free practice, which saw them both hospitalised, in critical condition! The organisers cancelled the event and made the decision to fly everyone out to the Bahrain Sakir track in the Middle East. Sadly the two drivers above could not make it, but hope to be fit again for next season!
Qualifying
In EXP, Edwards once again took his place at the front of the field, by a good margin as well. The wild card Kubus snatched 2nd place away from the quick new comer Jietse in the dying moments of qualifying, it left Jietse looking for a new set of tyres, which he didn't have!
In AMA Qualifying, Yldchld took a good pole ahead of the championship leader Edmeat, with title contender Snakey_Uk taking 3rd place on the grid.
The Race!
In EXP, we had a last round big heat, with most of the 23 qualifiers taking part. Edwards made a good start from pole, but then he released that the team had forgot to fix the synchromesh from 1st to 2nd gear! He had to go from 1st gear to 3rd and lost the lead going into T1 to Jietse. Kubus had a bad start and dropped way back, even after spending 2 min spinning his tyres to heat them up LOL! DJCruicky had a good start, overtaking Kubus for 3rd and nearly getting Edwards into T1. The flying Dutch man Ka, made a great start from nearly last place into p7 by T2, but all his hard work got undone as Doctor-Q hit him wide and he dropped way back again. Art-Tech-Uk also had a great start, overtaking loads of people on the first lap, but eventually he overtook one to many and crashed hard into the wall, he continued, but with lots of damage!
DJCruicky and MJanosh had a good battle until MJanosh had a wheel bearing failure on lap 4 and dropped well down the order. The race at the front heated up, with Edwards overtaking Jietse and then be re overtaken for the lead again. The pair went on like this for about 5 laps, with nearly 15 changes of the lead! Eventually Edwards got away and he never looked back, while all this was going on, DJCruicky was holding a steady 3rd place, but Ka was on a charge back up the order and catching DJCruicky fast. Kubus was on the way back up when the team called him in, on the radio, but they had forgot that DJCruicky was coming in on the same lap, so Kubus had to wait behind and eventually loose about 10 seconds. Doctor-Q was running in the top ten and he pitted, but earlier contact with Ka, meant that the team had to get the duck tape out and fix the body damage, loosing him valuable time! His bad luck continued after the pit, with power steering failure causing him to have a few spins.
Ka was pushing hard to catch Jietse, but put a wheel off the track and lost a few seconds, putting an end to his charge. Another person on a late charge was Kubus, he caught DJCruicky and made a great pass for 3rd with 1 and a half laps to go, DJ tried to fight back, but it was to no avail. Edwards took another dominant win ahead of the new comer to the championship Jietse in 2nd place. Ka took a well deserved 3rd place, just ahead of Kubus in 4th and DJCruicky in 5th. _Chacal__ got his best finish of the year in 6th place, followed by the unlucky MJanosh in 7th. Doctor-Q came home in 8th, followed by two new comers, Tuarus in 9th and Neela in 10th, well done to them for finishing their first race!
In AMA, Yldchld carried on his qualifying performance and snatched the win! Edmeat took a safe 2nd place and the championship with it, he has been consistent all year and it has paid off! MadMuffinMaker got 3rd place and his first podium, im sure the USA are proud of him with that result and maybe he will be a contender for the whole season next year!?
The EXP Drivers Championship, Edwards won the championship by a big margin from 2nd place Locutus, after his big crash. 3rd place was taken by the ever consistent DJCruicky. In AMA it was Edmeat who claimed victory bin a narrowly fought championship, Yldchld snatched 2nd in the last round and Snakey_Uk settled for 3rd place.
For the Teams Championship, Don't lift absolutely dominated this PCC Championship once again, winning by 1000's of points from 2nd place Team Downforce and LRT2 snatched 3rd in the championship, just, from it's sister team of LRT.
In the Country championship, The United Kingdom outshined every other country to claim victory (I didn't expect anything else :P) and the Dutch taking 2nd place (thank god!) with the USA snatching 3rd place in the end.
Well, that's it for the PCC Summer League and I hope you all enjoyed it, I am sure we will see it back next summer with the all new Porsche 997. All podiums are below and I hope you all enjoyed it, I certainly did!

KA wants KFC, but Chav closed the door firmly! |
|
|
|
|
We have arrived at the A1 Ring, formerly known as the Osterreichring, it's set in a beautiful rural location in the mountains and lets hope for some good racing here!
Qualifying,
In EXP was a intensely fought affair with Locutus taking his first pole of the season followed by Martinwcox in 2nd and DJCruicky in 3rd! Edwards dually forgot to even do a lap and was at the back of the grid.
In AMA it was insanely close, with Snakey_Uk taking pole position in the dying moments of the session by just 0.044 from Edmeat! 3rd place was also snatched at the last minute by Yldchld from Flyer23 by only 0.007!!! This meant that the top 4 in AMA were covered by a mere 0.394 and I think you will agree that the race is going to be a closely contested one.
The Race,
In EXP Heat 1 Locutus lead off pole, DJCruicky jumped Martinwcox for 2nd, Edwards and Ka both jumped Bobobski for 4th and 5th. Coming into T2, Martin made a small error on the exit but it was enough to let Ed and Ka through into 3rd and 4th. DJC's mirrors were now full of Burberry and Team Don't Lift came over the radio telling him to move over and then proceed to block Ka, DJC kindly obliged!
Edwards was now chasing down Locutus and got past him within a lap, but then it all went wrong for Locutus as he had brake problem, they were stuck on 10% all the time! This left him nothing to do but watch every one go past. Ed got a call on the radio that he had overtaken under yellow's and had to relinquish the lead! He was 7 seconds ahead of Martin but he backed off and let him back past. The pair then had a great battle until Martin got it all wrong at T1 and smacked the wall hard. He carried on, but at the next braking point the suspension gave up and left him stuck in the gravel, putting an abrupt end to his race.
After that it was left to Ka to chase down Ed, although he was just as fast as Ed he could just not match the consistency of him. By the end of the race had dropped over 20 seconds. DJC had a lonely race and came home in 3rd place in the heat, with Bobobski in 4th and Locutus limping home in 5th in the heat.
All hands go up to returnee Mike_Nap as he romped to 3rd place overall and his first podium in PCC!! He had this to say "I had taken a break from racing due to lack of funding, but we got some together for this 1 off round and it paid off! We have now got some more budget to do the Nordschleife and I hope we can improve even more there." The other American Durielk got a well deserved 5th place overall for his efforts and some valuable championship points.
In AMA, it's all change at the front with Flyer23 taking his maiden win in the PCC Championship! It has come very late in the season, but I'm sure the team bosses will be keeping an eye on him for next season. Snakery_Uk took a distant 2nd place, but his consistency is always good and it's reflected in the drivers standings.
Yldchld took the last place on the AMA podium in 3rd and we got this exclusive interview with him! "My team engineer chose the wrong front tyres/front suspension & it showed in the last half of the race! bloody engineers! I was very disappointed at the result with this being the second last round of the season & a first here would have helped my chances in the championship. Bring on Nordschleife is all I can say." And yes, that did come straight out of the "Juan Pablo Montoya" Driver's book of excuses :D! Edmeat came home in 4th to keep onto his drivers championship lead, just!
See you all at the infamous Nordschleife, where you will be tested to the extreme round this awesome and dangerous track! A CD to guide your way round this track is available from the F1RST gift shop at only £2.99 and may be invaluable in lap times :P!

Locutus Gets His First Win And Leaves Chav Hungry! |
|
|
|
|
After a long delay, here is the news of Lienz! I have been very busy over the past few weeks and this is my first day off, so my apologies for that.
Quali,
In EXP, Edwards took another pole position by over a second form Locutus in 2nd, but round this long track it's not that much! Martinwcox rounded of the the top 3 in 3rd.
In AMA, Edmeat took a dominant pole by over 7 seconds from yldchld in 2nd! He was closely followed by Snakey_Uk in 3rd.
The Race Results!
In EXP, It was Edwards who got the best start pulling 4 seconds on the first lap to the following pack, but then it all went up in smoke as he turned into the last section of the track and his steering wheel broke! It left him stuck in the wall trying to re set it and leaving Martinwcox to take the lead, Edwards lost over 3 minutes trying to get everything working again. DJCruicky had a bad first lap crashing out of 2nd place! There was a good battle at the front between Martinwcox, Ka and Locutus. But when Martinwcox crashed out of the lead it left Locutus to snatch it with Ka closely in 2nd place and Bobobski in 3rd! Edwards was now on a charge and caught the damaged DJCruicky, Bobobski and the Ka with ease and got past them into 2nd place.
The battle was now on for the lead, Edwards started to close the 2 minute and 30 second gap to Locutus, who was on a 0 stopper with tyres that were bald by now! He was catching rapidly, but he was just not able to do it and had to settle for 2nd place, handing a great first victory to Locutus! Durielk had a stunning race and got a podium in 3rd!! Bobobski had his best finish in 4th place, with Ka following home in 5th place. After a race of troubles DJCruicky got it home in one piece (well sort of :P) to finish in 6th.
In AMA, Edmeat took a really dominant victory over Yldchld, two and a half minutes to be precise!! Snakey_Uk took 3rd place, but the rest must have found the drop of the mountain as they all didn't finish! NMansell, as usual did not finish and also could not be asked to do this news :P !
The EXP Championship sees Edwards extend his championship lead over Locutus in 2nd, but the big mover is DJCruicky who has stolen 3rd place off Martinwcox!
In the AMA Championship Edmeat has now taken over the lead followed very closely by Snakey_Uk in 2nd and Yldchld in 3rd!
Some important things to mention here,
- HOSTS must ALWAYS leave the session first, in case submission fails! That way the host always has the complete XML to send to me.
- ALL MUST use the same Nickname IN GAME as they use in their profile! I spent too much time finding out who is who with manual submissions.
- For newcomers: the Tracks we use for the League can be found HERE.
See you all at A1 Ring for some Austrian Dicing!

So Holland are out, England are through and Australia were robbed. All in a days work for the Football World Cup, but you couldn't have asked for more excitement from the Porsche Carrera Cup race in the Oschersleben. As I didn't compete in this round, I'll hand over to our special PCC Reporter in Oschersleben, DJCruicky
Edwards had a great start from 3rd to 1st, but then back down to 3rd after going wide and also DJCruicky had a great start, jumped from 5th to 2nd into the 1st corner, until Martinwcox bravery got 2nd place back on turn 2. Poor MaxMotus what was he doing? He in the snack bar when the lights turned green? :). A half lap later Martinwcox spins in front of DJCruicky, and with a nice friendly bump from DJ, helps Martin off the track :D.
Now with Edwards higher in the championship table than DJCruicky, DJCruicky gets the call from his team to let Edwards passed, which he did so ever so grateful for him to hunt down the disappearing Locutus.
Meanwhile at the back of the field is MaxMotus who's been stuck behind AntAnt67 for several laps due to Max's bad start. Max decides enough is enough and knocks AntAnt67 off the track after Ant braked a little to early for Max's liking :D. Same happened with Edwards and Locutus at the front, and DJCruicky found himself leading the race.
It was looking good for DJCruicky in the lead, some how keeping Edwards and everyone else backed up behind him. All was well until suddenly at lap 12 DJCruicky losses the back of his car and ended up spinning just before the last corner. Everyone managed to get passed apart from his team mate Edwards. Bad for team 'Don't Lift', DJCruicky decides to let Edwards passed again for him to chase down the pack. Which was a good move for Cruicky as not long after the pits, Edwards found himself in a battle with Martinwcox, but after a slip by Edwards, Martinwcox rear end Edwards into a spin in front of 'Locutus' allowing Cruicky to steel 2nd place off the pair with Martin laughing in 1st place.
It was not long before Locutus caught up with DJCruicky and tried for the pass, but a small touch from DJCruicky ended with Locutus going off track once again for Edwards to steel 2nd place from them both.
The race finished very closely, with a few more knocks and scraps, with Edwards finally taking the lead from Martin with only 2 laps to go finishing with only 0.187 seconds between them, and followed closely by DJCruicky in 3rd. And for the number of times Locutus got punted off the track I think Locutus should still be happy with his 4th place. Kubus finished 5th after a few trips through the grave traps.
Well, I'm sure you'll agree, with this sort of racing in the premier heat in the EXP Division, the Porsche Carrera Cup is heading in right direction. It all depends on what the League Admin decides to do ;).
Anyway, no time to mention the other heats, but be rest assured - I will mention them next weekend!
Lienz GP sees the return of NM to the AMA Division. So get those Qualifying Laps in NOW!

Chav's On A Diet so Lucas Pigs Out! |
|
 |
|
|
Since Chav, is in Morocco, he's left the glorious task of writing the PCC News Report for the PCC League. So in a break with tradition, we will start with the AMA League, and we will go over to our AMA reporter....
In AMA Flyer23 took pole by a mere 0.1 of a second over Edmeat. This was an incredible feat considering the horrific wreck that Flyer23 encountered at Enna. The car was a total write off and the onboard telemetry showed the driver sustained a 7.2 G crash. Flyer with broken ribs was still able to get the new chassis together in time and with limited laps he was able to secure pole. Third on the grid was the ever consistent Snakey_UK and rounding out the field is newcomer Madmuffinmaker. This looks to be an exciting race to come!
Over to the "ultra" (who's laughing? ;) ) competitive EXP League. Lucas takes pole at this highly demanding Oschersleben track, with Martinwcox taking second and Locutus third. Yes, I have got my figures right as Chav takes fourth. In fourth, is our very own Le-Mans 24hr good guy, MaxMotus, with DJCruicky taking fifth, making it a GBR 4-5-6.
Usual stuff to remember:
So, as the sun sets on another glorious day in Germany, many will head off to watch the World Cup.

Chav Takes His KFC and Goes on Holiday (AGAIN!) |
|
|
|
|
Now time for the PCC News, and I shall first announce why I’m taking over for a while. The (lazy) admin has decided he should be allowed a holiday during the season, so he’s off to Morocco for a week. Probably to add to his tan! He will then jet off to Oschersleben to continue racing in the FIA GT3 European Championship in his Tech 9 Motorsport Porsche 997.
Anyway, onto the Autodromo di Pergusa (Enna) race results. Chav takes another “Bargin Bucket” to extend his lead in the Championship, but due to his “hiatus” from the Championship, he will be stuck on 420 points. Lucas takes second place with [TSR]Bobster rounding off the podium places. Locutus maintains his second place in the championship, with a comfortable fourth in the race with DJCruicky taking a distinct fifth. Only 12 out of the 27 starters in EXP race finished, probably due to the dreadful chicanes!
In the AMA race, Edmeat moved from fourth on the grid to take the win. That’s two in a row for Edmeat and it helps him close the gap to Snakey_UK (winner of the prize in the latest Special Event!). Aussie yldchild takes the final podium place. Mikka and Flyer23 both fell foul of the chicanes and both didn’t finish.
As mentioned before, Chav maintains and extends his lead in the EXP Championship. However, we can exclusively reveal he will not be back until 6th July. Locutus is second with 387 points, and Martinwcox is third with 305. The next three are separated by only 12 points. Lucas is fourth, with DJCruicky and KA bearing down on him.
AMA Championship, Snakey_UK still leads the Championship but only by 3 points from back-to-back winner Edmeat. Yldchild is third thanks to the DNF of Flyer23.
That’s enough from me, apart to tell all hosts to send me (while Chav is away - NMansell@F1RST3.com) a very brief description of their race.
Qualifying for Oschersleben finishes very VERY soon, so if you have any problems, email me your vcr and log file and I’ll upload your time!
GOOD LUCK - SEE YOU ON THE TRACK!
PS: I forgot to mention, if you haven’t already read it, our (old in age) F1 League Admin, CasH, recently had did an interview with SimHQ. You can read it here… http://www.simhq.com/_motorsports3/motorsports_091a.html. Please do so, as it will make CasH feel very proud!!!

Chav Survives The Chicanes To Eat Another KFC! |
|
|
|
|
We have come too the track Enna this week, with very unforgiving chicanes! Most people managed to keep out of them in quali, but I am not so sure about the race to come...! Still a good turnout this week, even though all the new leagues have started, the numbers are still up in the high 20's.
Now, in EXP, Edwards claims yet another pole position, but only by the narrowest of margins from Lucas!! Lucas missed out on pole by 0.102, but still secured a good front row starting position. Wes stuck in a solid lap to claim 3rd, but a distant way away from the front two! Championship contender Locutus secured a place on the 2nd row of the grid in 4th place, very consistent as usual! Then came Martinwcox in 5th, Yiannis-HGT in 6th and Ka in 7th, amazingly they were all covered by only 0.032 of a second :O!! DJCruicky snatched 8th place, with the ever improving MCO Champion [TSR]Bobster in 9th! Trick rounded of the top 10 and is hoping to make up some positions after people hit those chicane barriers :P.
In AMA, Mikka took an amazing pole position only 0.042 ahead of Snakey_Uk in 2nd!!! This is the closest quali of the season so far, amazing stuff guys. Yldchld took 3rd only 0.175 behind Mikka and the ever improving Edmeat snatched 4th. Flyer23 rounded of the top 5 in 5th, he also is looking for a few people to hit those unforgiving chicane tyres!
For the ones that didn't yet organize your Race Heats, please do it as soon as possible HERE!
Good luck in your races and ALL HOSTS please don't forget too send your VCR's to me at edwards@f1rst3.com

The Race Results!
In EXP, Edwards was leading Heat 1 (as was the usual by now) with Lucas snatching 2nd off the line from Locutus! Ka also made a good start getting past Martinwcox, but Martin did not give up and he pushed a bit too hard, half spinning at the exit of the hairpin into Ka, consequently taking Ka out, this left Ka dead last! There were a few good battles up and down the field, but the race seemed to settle down into a nice rhythm with Edwards leading, Lucas 2nd and Locutus in 3rd. But on lap 23 out of 31 Edwards had a dramatical mechanical failure, his suspension collapsed on the exit of druids which meant instant retirement! (basically I got booted from game because of a rf bug! :( ). This left Lucas to come home to a great 1st place, the first person to win (other than Edwards) in the PCC league so far this season! Locutus was looking good for 3rd until he made a mistake with not long to go, allowing Martinwcox and Ka through.
In Heat 2 Fantaman had a 15 second lead on DJCruicky before his pit stop, but with DJCruicky not stopping he took the lead from him by 16 seconds. Fantaman was gaining 1 second a lap on DJCruicky, so it should have been a close finish between them! But then a complete nightmare happened for Fantaman, he had to do a Splash and Dash with two laps to go, hole in his fuel tank I guess (:P).
Rounding up the overall finishing positions, Lucas took a outstanding victory from Martinwcox in 2nd, with Ka following closely in 3rd! Locutus gathered it all back up and snatched 4th place, with MaxMotus taking 5th. DJCruicky got 6th place, with J-loo in 7th. Fantaman took 8th just 0.1 of a second ahead of Durielk in 9th!!! MJanosh rounded up the top 10 in 10th with a solid drive!
In the EXP drivers championship, because of Edwards's DNF it has closed things all back up again, with Edwards only leading Locutus by 6 points now!!! Martinwcox is in 3rd only 21 points behind Locutus.
In AMA, it was all change, with Edmeat taking a awesome victory by 9 seconds from Snakey_Uk! Mikka took 3rd place after it seemed like he would win after his dominant quali performance, but he was only 1 second behind Snakey_Uk! Yldchld took 4th and Flyer23 snatched 5th with Lula Senna pulling out because of family reasons!
Flyer23 still leads the AMA drivers championship but by only 1 point from Snakey_Uk!! Edmeat is now up to 3rd only 3 points behind Snakey_Uk and yldchld in 4th only 1 point behind Edmeat. This championship is really too close too call, it's going to be a thrilling one throughout the season.
For the Teams Championship, Don't Lift are still extending their lead from Team Downforce in 2nd place. LRT2 is still holding onto 3rd place.
In the Country championship, the United Kingdom are still leading from the Dutch in 2nd place! The USA still hold 3rd.
Some important things to mention here,
- Hosts of all heat races (some of you have been very good about it, DJCruicky and Snakey_uk) I need all vcr's and a brief description of your heat race if you want to be included in the news and the end of season highlights video, it's not that hard is it... :/.

Do they have KFC's in Ireland? |
|
|
|
|
Yes folks! 'tis I, the one time F1 League Administrator and now PCC League Admin - NMansell!! You just can't get rid of me!! Anyway, the reason why I'm doing this is Chav has run away, very last minute, to Ireland. We understand that The Colonel is looking for him so watch this space for more news....
Anyway on to qualifying...
Before he left for his "vacation", Chav took a comfortable pole, to continue his clean sweep (4 poles, 3 race wins). Do I need to say he maintains the lead in championship? Speed_10 takes second place after a beautifully controlled lap, ahead of regular front runner Locutus. Lucas takes fourth and 14 more valuable points as he tries to catch Chav. Martinwcox takes fifth with KA in sixth. Paddock rumour has it, that KA missed is so low down in qualifying because he got on the wrong plane and missed valuable practice time. Special mention goes to MJanosh who, apart from taking seventh, manages, managed to get into Heat 1! (There - you happy now!!)
In the very close AMA championship, TWR 2's Mikka takes pole ahead of Edmeat, who leads the charge of the independents. "Motor mouth" Flyer23 crossed the line in third place with Snakey_Uk in fourth for TWR 1 (just how many teams do they have?! ;) ) LulaSenna, TWR 1, takes fourth with the final grid position going to the unlucky yldchild.
We understand from our people in Ireland that Chav will be back when his bucket runs out, so normal service will be resumed shortly (I hope!).
Don't forget to organise your race heats here and Good Luck!

The Race Results!
In EXP, It looked like it was going to be another dominant victory for Edwards until the pit stops, where Edwards and Lucas pitted but Locutus did not! The race got underway pretty smoothly, there was some dicing throughout the field, but on lap 3 Martinwcox and Ka came together, with Ka ending up in the barrier. On lap 4 it was all going well for Locutus in 3rd place, until he got it all wrong at Eau Rouge and spun hitting the barrier twice, he managed to get it all together and re join in 5th. Luckily for him, 3 corners later MM had a moment and Ka had no where to go but straight into him, they both ended up in the gravel with Locutus snatching 3rd back. The race settled down then, with Edwards still leading by about 8 seconds form Lucas.
Then came the pit stops, which let Locutus take the lead on a no stopper, Ka also a no stopper took in 2nd, Edwards demoted to 3rd and Lucas to 4th. Edwards soon caught Ka and overtook him, but as he was doing so Ka's gear box blew into a thousand pieces and left him in 1st gear at 150mph! He hit the wall hard and it was instant retirement for him, leaving his championship hopes in taters. Then things really started heating up at the front, Edwards closed the 11 second gap to Locutus in 6 laps and they had a great battle for 2 laps. Unfortunately Edwards made slight contact with Locutus on lap 15, but he waited for him to re join in the lead, this let Lucas catch hthe 11 second gap back up. This meant 1st, 2nd and 3rd were nose to tail with only 4 laps to go! Edwards was all over Locutus and finally pressured him into a mistake on lap 16, with Lucas following through the next corner. Locutus was struggling on his tyres and took a trip through the gravel. Lucas was all over Edwards in the last 2 laps and nearly got him once, but the pair finished just 0.6 apart at the end, it was a very close race!
Too round it up, Edwards did a good job again and took 1st place, with Lucas following closely in 2nd and Locutus just behind in 3rd, thinking what coul Wes's debut in the PCC league saw him take 4th place, which was a great result! DJCruicky, who was demoted to heat 2 in Quali made up for it in the race taking 5th place!! Harry CS took a amazing 6th place only .1 of a second ahead of F1C PCC League champ MaxMotus in 7th, really well done Harry! Martinwcox had a difficult race but snatched 8th place just ahead of the crazy MJanosh (who is looking very fast at Oulton Park!). On [TSR]Bobster's debut in PCC EXP, he took 10th place, which was a top effort by the MCO Champion, he looks like a strong contender for the remainder of season.
In the EXP championship, Edwards now consolidates his lead after Ka's DNF, but the big mover this week was Locutus who jumped from 4th to 2nd! Martinwcox keeps his 3rd place not far behind Locutus and Ka is down to 4th. Lucas is on the move up the leader board after missing round 1, watch out for him guys!
In AMA, LulaSenna took a great victory by only 11 seconds from Flyer23!! On LulaSenna's debut in PCC he has dominated the AMA class, really great work by him. Edmeat took a good 3rd place only six seconds behind Flyer23. Yldchld had some problems and took 4th place never the less with Snakey_Uk also having some problems, but finishing 5th to take valuable points!
In the AMA championship we now have Flyer23 leading Yldchld by only 2 points and Snakey_Uk in 3rd only 1 point behind Yldchld!! This championship is really too close to call at the moment!
For the Teams Championship, Don't Lift are now leading by a huge margin. But this week LRT have slipped from 2nd to 4th, with Team Downforce up to 2nd and LRT2 moving up to 3rd.
In the Country championship, the United Kingdom are still leading, but by quite a long way from the Dutch now! The USA still hold 3rd, but they are slipping away from the Dutch!
See you all at Oulton Park, Good luck in Quali!

Quali News at the awesome Spa track. Another great turn out in Exp of 27 and even a new runner in AMA! But they still need more competition, common guys you can do better than this, ask your friends to join!
In EXP, Edwards was once again on pole by a very big margin of .707 (someone is going to have to do something about him)! Locutus took a great 2nd this time, his best Quali of the season. Lucas took 3rd only .1 of a second behind Locutus, these guys are going to have a close race! Ka keeps racking up the points by taking 4th in Quali and he was followed very closely by the new kid on the block Wes. 6th through 10th place were covered by only .1 of a second (amazing)!! It was amazingly close with Kubas taking 6th, Maxmotus in 7th, Martinwcox in 8th, Jlittlejohn in 9th and another new boy Speed_10 rounding of the top 10. Edwards extends his points lead over Ka in 2nd, but the one on the move is Locutus, reducing the points gap to Ka rapidly!
In AMA, our new entrant LulaSenna stormed to take pole by only 0.55 from Flyer23!! It was amazingly close, even round this huge track. LulaSenna did a great job on his debut, lets see if he can hold his place in the race. Snakey_UK took 3rd once again too keep his championship charge on track. Edmeat took 4th with yldchld in 5th. The top 3 in the AMA championship are all = on 74 points, talk about close!

The Race Results!
In EXP, Once again Edwards dominated the race from the moment the lights went out, till the flag dropped! He nearly threw it all away as his team forgot to put the tire warmers on before the race, leaving Edwards struggling to get the power down on the exit of T1! Locutus came into T1 too hot and spun out, leaving Doctor-Q hitting him broad side. Ka made a great start going from 5th to 3rd by T1, making up for his penalty from Quali! On lap 2, Martinwcox was pushing hard, but a close call with a crossing rabbit nearly made him spin! There were some fierce battles going on in mid field, with Kubus spinning into the pit wall, giving his pit crew the fright of their lives! Edwards had a scare when he came to lap Kubus as well! He later found out that LRT had paid Kubus to take him out, but he failed, only causing Edwards minor bumper damage (thank god :P). Lucas kept the pressure on Edwards in 2nd place for most of the race, but with only 5 laps to go, all his electronics failed while he was in a solid 2nd place (in pc terms, his net connection cut)! The award of "most spins" went to Kubus, managing to spin 3 times in just 2 corners (LOL)!
Ka came home in 2nd place ahead of the ever progressing Martinwcox in 3rd. Locutus got himself together after the mishap at T1 and snatched 4th place ahead of the F1C PCC Champion MaxMotus in 5th! Jlittlejohn and Yiannis-HGT had a good battle in heat 2 for the lead, but it all ended in tears as they both went plummeting into the gravel, leaving Yiannis-HGT to be called to the clerk of the course's office after the race. This left the F1C ace MJanosh to take the honors in Heat 2 and 6th overall! Although since the team changed MJanosh's seating position he has been slightly off the pace. He was closely followed by Doctor-Q in 7th and Jlittlejohn got 8th, after managing to get out of the gravel to finish just 1 second ahead of DJCruicky in 9th! Kubus got 10th (after all those spins, amazing job!) just 1 second behind DJCruicky.
Edwards leads the championship in Exp comfortably over Ka in 2nd and Martinwcox in 3rd, but only 1 point ahead of Locutus in 4th!!!
In AMA, Edmeat took an amazing 1st win, a long way ahead of the experienced Snakey_Uk in 2nd! Yldchld secured 3rd place to keep his championship lead, but by only 2 points from Snakey_Uk! The ever consistent Flyer23 took 4th in the race and is only 1 point behind Snakey_Uk in the championship!
For the Teams Championship, Don't Lift are leading and have more than double the amount of points as 2nd place LRT, closely followed by Team DownForce in 3rd.
In the Country championship, the United Kingdom are still leading, but only just from the Dutch! The USA still hold 3rd, but Spain are now catching fast in 4th!
Some important things to mention again here,
- HOSTS must ALWAYS leave the session first, in case submission fails! That way the host always has the complete XML to send to me.
- ALL MUST use the same Nickname IN GAME as they use in their profile! I spent too much time finding out who is who with manual submissions.

See you all at Spa, for what I can only imagine to be a lot of slipstreaming!

Lucas Is Getting A Bit Too Close To Chav's KFC! |
|
|
|
|
Now for the news of Donington Quali! What a great turn out in EXP of 27 cars, there is going to be some mega racing! I hope too see this many throughout the season in EXP, but AMA it's a different story, they need some more competitors! (Get your friends in on the action guys, rally round, do whatever it takes! And I mean anything :P)
In EXP, Edwards was on dominant form once again and took pole by 0.873 from Lucas in 2nd place! Lucas did a great job after not much testing due to a misfire in the engine!! MaxMotus seems to back on form, taking 3rd place here. But he did invest some £20,000 in testing, to get to the pace at the front. In 4th place was Martinwcox, who is heading up the Spanish championship charge. He was followed very closely by KA in 5th, who got put back 3 places after the Marshals spotted him taking out too many marker posts :P. Kubas snatched 6th place after a late Quali attempt, because he was stopped by the Police on the way to the track. This was because he had failed his driving test the day before and was driving illegally on the road! Locutus slipped down the order this week in 7th, after he had showed good pace in testing. He was followed closely by the Don't Lift duo of Doctor-Q and DJCruicky, with Yiannis-HGT rounding of the top 10 on his PCC comeback!
In AMA, again only 4 people rose to the challenge with Snakey_UK taking a very dominant pole by 0.962 of a second! Yldchld got 2nd place with quite a large gap over the 3rd place Flyer23. Edmeat got 4th place, just behind Flyer23, there heat is going to be a close one!
For the Teams Championship, Don't Lift are absolutely rocketing away with it in 1st place, they now have a 188 point lead over Team Downforce in 2nd! Behind them in 3rd are Lowland Racing Team, but by the narrowest of margins, just 5 points!!
In the Country championship, I am proud to say that the United Kingdom are still out in front (GOOOO UK! :D), but only by 28 points from the Netherlands in 2nd! The United States of America is still a distant 3rd, but doing a very good job! You better watch out though, as Spain are catching fast!
For the ones that didn't yet organize your Race Heats, please do it as soon as possible HERE!
Good luck too all in your race's! And I, along with everyone else, am looking forward to some great battles. Cya all on track!

The Race Results!
In EXP, it was business as usual at the front! Edwards made a poor start though which left KA attacking for the lead at the 1st corner and he went all the way round the outside of Edwards to take the lead!! It was a fierce battle all the way down the straight, but Edwards put KA under just too much pressure and he ran wide 2 corners later, leaving the door wide open for Edwards to reclaim the lead! The battle was heating for 3rd going into turn 2 and Martincox made his move on Locutus, but he was never going to make the corner! He ran wide and Kubas pounced into 4th place leaving Martincox thinking about what he had just done, back in 5th. DJCruicky also tried a move into turn 2 on Kubas, but he left his braking a little bit to late and hit Kubas, leaving him spinning down the road, narrowly missed by Bobobski! Things were settling down at the front until Locutus made a mistake at turn 2 on lap 4, Kubas didn't have to be asked twice snatching 3rd away from him. But only 1 lap later Kubas couldn't take the pressure of Locutus and ran wide, letting him grab 3rd back!
Things went pretty smoothly for a while, with the odd spinner here and there. Then came the Pit stops and unfortunately for KA his pit crew were visiting the local strip club when he came in, leaving him with nothing else to do than retire from 2nd place (Luckily they arrived back in time for him to re race :P )! This left Edwards with a huge lead. A mistake free run saw him come home 37 seconds ahead of KA with Locutus taking a great 3rd just 8 seconds behind KA! Martincox took 4th, just ahead of the Don't lift trio of Doctor-Q (5th), DJCruicky (6th) and SidewaysFast (7th)! Durielk did a good job and was the top American in 8th, Kubas got 9th (even though he had done no testing) and Bobobski round's of the top 10
In AMA, Yldchld took an amazing Victory over Flyer23 by just 0.407, this was an amazingly close result, especially as they had both raced in different races! I can imagine these guys are going to have some very close battles in this league. With only 20 seconds covering the top 4 there were some hard fought battles with Snakey_Uk snatching 3rd away from Edmeat by just 4 seconds! Unfortunately for NMansell his spinning form came back (too much practice in Exp!?), but nevertheless he came home in a solid 5th!
For the Teams Championship, Don't lift rocket away in 1st with Team Downforce in 2nd, followed very closely by LRT and LRT2
In the Country championship, the UK (Yes! :D) has stolen the lead away form the Dutch, but not by much! With USA still hanging onto 3rd.
Some important things to mention here,
- HOSTS must ALWAYS leave the session first, in case submission fails! That way the host always has the complete XML to send to me.

Finally, the results for the very first Quali for the PCC Cup here on F1RST3! (I was away testing in Dijon until yesterday, so sorry for late news :P)
Now, in EXP some people may have thought we got rid of some of the usual aliens, but they were wrong! Edwards has picked up where he left off in the last (F1C) PCC League, taking pole by almost 1 second! Then the F1 Winter Champion Killing Attack, transferring over to these heavy tin tops and taking a very good 2nd place. He is looking good too challenge Edwards in the race! The ever consistent Locutus taking a great 3rd place, followed by Martincox in 4th, Kubas in 5th and DJCruicky in 6th. There are some big names down the order such as MaxMotus, Jlittlehjohn and Doctor Q! These guys forgot too bring fuel from the last round of the F1C PCC league, which meant they had no choice but to start form the back (:P).
In AMA the Top 3 are pretty close, but unfortunately only 4 drivers qualified. Flyer23 took a great pole, followed closely by new comer Yldchld and good old Snakey_uk in 3rd. NMansell, amazingly making it across the line without spinning to grab 4th place (hehe)! Luckily they are so close, so I guess it still will be an interesting race. AMA guys, please get some more people in. Just bribe some guys somewhere to compete, just make sure they are not too fast for you ;).
For the Teams Championship, of course Don't lift started where they left off last season in 1st but followed closely by LRT in 2nd and Team Downforce in 3rd!
In the Country championship, surprisingly the Dutch are in 1st (unbelievable I know :D)! Followed closely by the UK in 2nd and in a distant 3rd the USA.
As the grids are now at a max of 10 cars, I bet this will even be more fun than we had with F1C! I hope you will enjoy the racing and try to get some friends to join as the numbers are slightly disappointing!
For the ones that didn't yet organize your Race Heats, please do it as soon as possible HERE!
Good luck too all in your race's!

And off we go!
Our First Summer League for rFactor!
I put up the schedule, based on tracks and number of races you guys voted for. You can find the schedule HERE.
Keep in mind rF Leagues are still very new, so I hope you bare with us IF any problems would occur. Please post your comments or bug reports in our rF PCC League Forum HERE. Or E-Mail at edwards@f1rst3.com and I will try too sort it.
Some things to mention now:
- You guys voted for Mechanical Failures in EXPERT. Prepare for the ultimate, which is EXPERT; running without any aids for the full distance with ALL the hard stuff real drivers also experience.
- Quali is OPEN from Tuesday the 4th too Monday the 11th of April. To get as much people in as possible, please post (without spamming! :P) in Forums you frequently visit, to let everyone know about our League.
- For PCC you have voted for 2 Quali sessions! This means, for the new guys, that you will get 2 chances to start a Quali session and improve your Result! Each session will be your out lap and 2 fast laps.
- The fastest per session will upload, IF it is faster than your previous one! ALWAYS, after you did a session, check if your result is on the website please!
- For PCC we start with grids of 10 people in one heat! Or if there is an uneven amount of people it will be divided between all of the heats.
- NEVER press ESC right after you crossed the finish line. That can cause a VCR being incomplete for verification. Have the car run a few corners and then quit the session (approximately 30 seconds too be safe).
- All hosts afterwards please send their LOG file of the race to edwards@f1rst3.com and I will put up the well known Lap-charts after every race!
Guess that's it for now. Have fun with us and I hope to see you guys all on track for a thrilling rF PCC League! |
